The first episode was filmed this month and finds the Waitress star shopping around the West Village for baby supplies.

There are so many things that I don’t have. I don’t know if I’m having a boy or girl, first of all, so it makes shopping for baby stuff a little hard.

Next month, I’ll have a baby, so come back and there’ll be all sorts of new news about that!

Jp236585_cbb_2Waitress star Keri Russell is in the home stretch of her pregnancy andis pleased she’s had a pretty uncomplicated nine months, pregnancybrain notwithstanding.

I’m very close to theend. I’m having a great and really easy pregnancy, comparedto my girlfriends. This is my first one.

Herexcitement for impending motherhood and her new film, in which she plays a pregnant waitress, is tempered by thedeath of its director, writer and star, Adrienne Shelly, who wasmurdered in her New York City office in November, leaving behind herhusband Andy Ostroy and 3-year-old daughter, Sophie. Sophie has a smallrole in the film, a cameo Keri and co-star Cheryl Hines were deeplyaffected by when they attended a screening.

Wesaid, ‘You know, we don’t have to get sad about this. Let’s try toenjoy this. It’s a happy movie.’ But as soon as that kid comes on atthe end, it’s just like, ‘Jeez.’ It’sright there…[Andy] is a great dad and a great husband. I’ve seen them and they’re doing the best that they can.

Keri Russell talks cravings, end of pregnancy, and being surprised

Keri_russell_070429_15_cbbAs part of her media tour for Waitress, actress Keri Russell, 31, spoke to People magazine this week. Here are the highlights.

On being in the third trimester
: I’m at the end now, so if any time is hard, it’s this part. Just being out of breath going upstairs; you eat a grape and you’re bloated!

On cravings: My one craving, which is boring, is yogurt. If I don’t have it once a day, forget it!

On choosing not to find out the sex of their baby: We’re being surprised [at the delivery]. I would be pleased with either. I think my husband secretly wants a girl…

On the reality of becoming a parent: I have these moments of ‘Oh God, I’m going to have this person around that I’m so responsible for!’ That’s what so refreshing about Waitress: it allows for those kinds of thoughts. As a culture we want pregnant women to have this idyllic experience, and that’s just not real.
