Silver Cross: the gold standard

In the world of baby prams, Silver Cross is the gold standard.  Often referred to as the "Bentley for babies," the Balmoral (and its sister, the Kensington) is completely handmade, from the handles to the ultra cushy ride, even to the individually painted pinstripes along the carbon steel body, these prams are 100% luxury and the plushest way for celebrity babies to travel.  Each pram comes with a sequentially numbered plaque and signed certificate of authenticity by the craftsman who built it. Celebrity moms who chauffeur their precious cargo in the premier model, the Balmoral, include Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Madonna, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Gwyneth Paltrow and of course Angelina Jolie.  They even make a doll carriage for the babies’ babies! 

But did you know Silver Cross makes other types of strollers that normal people like us can afford?  Their Lifestyle collection includes prams that convert to buggies, umbrella strollers and 3-wheel style strollers. The Classic Sleepover (pictured left) is a modern pram that converts from carriage to stroller but also can be used as a stand-alone bassinet with a ventilated mattress for ultimate safety for home or travel.  Its large wheels with four-way suspension gives you a taste of the classic Silver Cross ride.  The Linear Freeway also converts from carriage to stroller and is owned by Jennie Garth and Penny Lancaster.  The S4 Stroller was designed for urban living and is owned by hip moms Angelina Jolie and Joely Fisher.  Their most lightweight model (56 pounds lighter than the Balmoral) is their umbrella stroller, the Micro V.2.  You’ve seen Denise Richards photgraphed with hers (in pink!), and it’s owned by Jennifer Garner, Courteney Cox-Arquette and Angela Bassett (who has two for her twins).
