Alice Richmond not impressed by mom's Sesame Street appearance

Tina_fey_062107_02_cbbTina Fey guest starred on the season premiere of Sesame Street Monday nightand has said she was looking forward to showing her daughter AliceZenobia, 23 months, the episode. Alice has seen it and, unfortunately, wasn’t excited to see mom.

She watched because Elmo was in it, but she didn’t seem to notice or care that it was me.

Tina’s guest spot isn’t the only thing lost on Alice, her daughter withhusband Jeff Richmond. The 30 Rock star, 37, was named one of TIMEmagazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World this year, butadmits she remains powerless at home.

It’s funny when that came out, I couldn’t even get my daughter to letme change her diaper. I’m not sure who I’m influencing, but I’ll try toproceed with caution as if I am influencing anybody.

The actress made the list mostly due to her work on her NBC sitcom, which, while critically acclaimed, has been on the lower end of theratings spectrum. The Emmy-nominated show is returning for a second season, but Tinaconfesses she won’t really mind if it ends prematurely either as itwould allow more downtime with Alice.

It’s hard to say because some days I think, ‘Well, if we go the route of Arrested Development I can raise my kid because I won’t be at work so much.’ But it would be nice to be The Office, too — it remains to be seen.

Tina Fey's Sesame Street debut

Tina_fey_062107_02_cbbKevin James can rejoice — new episodes of Sesame Street arrive onPBS on Monday. And its season premiere will feature fellow Sesame Street fan Tina Fey, 37. The 30 Rock star portrays a"book-aneer," a pirate who loves to read, and "can’t wait" for her andhusband Jeff Richmond‘s daughter Alice Zenobia, 23 months, to watch it.As she’s previously mentioned, Alice was psyched to meet Elmo anddidn’t really notice anything or rather, anyone, else.
Who wouldn’t want to do Sesame? They called and I was like, ‘Yes!’I brought my daughter with me, and she met Elmo. She doesn’t realizeshe met [puppeteer] Kevin Clash as well, but she knows that she metElmo. She was a little afraid of Oscar, but she sat on his trash can.

Kevin James can't spread the love, rags on Sesame Street

Evan_almighty_prem_0706129_cbbWhen Kevin James found out he and his wife Steffiana De La Cruz wereexpecting a second child, Shea Joelle, now 4 weeks, he, like mostparents, questioned whether he’d be able to love her as much as hisfirst child, Sienna-Marie, 21 months. The actor jokes with Conan O’Brien onLate Night that he was surprised at his reaction.

I had [Sienna] and you think this is the only child you’regonna love and the fact that you’re having another one, you don’t thinkyou’ll be able to love it as much. But they say you adjust and it’samazing how you love your kids equally. And it’s not true. I don’t carefor the second one as much. I wanna feel the love. I can’t fake itanymore either. I don’t know what to do. Don’t feel bad – we’re gonnahave another baby, so this one has another to play with. I’m sensitiveto it.

As he mentioned on Letterman, becoming a parent the secondtime is not as intense as the first. Kevin, 42, kept a close watch onnurses whenever they came by to pick up Sienna, but such was not thecase with Shea.

You kinda slack off a little bit. The nurse comes in, youdon’t care. Literally a janitor stopped by and was like, ‘I’m justgonna take the kid.’ I’m like, ‘Sure, go ahead. Clean her up. Justbring her back when you’re done. That’ll be fine. No problem at all.’

Having two kids now has made their household even more messyand hectic, forcing Steffiana to draft a new house rule, much to Kevin’sdisdain.

It is a little crazy because she’s starting to makerules with the two kids that they’re going to be crawling around thehouse and stuff and she made a rule of – and this kind of annoyed me -no shoes around the house. It’s so annoying because she makes meenforce the rule too. ‘Oh, look at the movers. Can you ask ‘em to taketheir shoes off?’ And these guys are big guys and they’re moving stuff. And you know what, you make the rule, so you enforce the damn thing.

In between asking guests to take off their shoes, Kevin spends much ofhis time watching Sesame Street with his kids. And while he loves theshow – he’s recently shot an episode – the I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry star does have one chiefcomplaint.

They repeat a lot and that really pisses me offbecause I’m just waiting for new episodes of Sesame Street to come out. It’s like The Sopranos – C’mon! Turn it over! Do something! Then yousee one and you’re excited and you think it’s gonna be a new one andyou’re like, ‘Near and far again! That’s what it is – near and far! Isaw this 100 times.’ I loved it the first time, but c’mon, keep megoing here.

Kevin James on playdates with Adam Sandler and encouraging him to have more kids

Mtv_awards_070603_150_cbbI Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry stars Adam Sandler and KevinJames are longtime friends, so it figures their kids will be buddies aswell. Kevin tells USA Today that his daughter Sienna-Marie, 21 months, and Sadie Madison, 14 months, often have playdates together.

Sienna and Sadie play. Sienna has beenteaching Sadie how to eat crayons, which is nice. I’m glad my daughterpicked that one up early. And I’ve been getting on [Adam and Jackie Titone] to catch up and have another one.The wives get along, so it’s been a perfect match.

Kevin and his wife Steffiana De La Cruz welcomed their second daughter, Shea Joelle, last month and he says his world revolves around his girls – he’s even shot a Sesame Street episode for them to watch.

When it comes to the kids, they control me. The new one doesn’t do muchat all except for grunt and cry for food. Which is, oddly enough, thesame thing I do. But Sienna, my older one, we have a lot of fun justplaying and rolling around.
