Rachel Hunter introduces her new clothing line and talks about her kids

Rachel Hunter who launched her new swim line, Lola, this month, talks to Woman’s Day, an Australian Magazine about the line, as well as raising to two teenagers. Rachel was married to Rod Stewart and had two children with him, Renee, 13 and Liam, 11.

Rod Stewart wants to be a great dad to son Alastair

On November 27th 2005, rocker Rod Stewart and his fiance model Penny Lancaster welcomed their first child together, a boy named Alastair. This little bundle of joy was the seventh child for Rod, who says that this time around, he’s made some changes as a dad. 

During his first marriage to model Alana Hamilton, Rod says that he was on the road too much and wasn’t able to be a hand-ons dad to their two children, Kimberley, now 27, and Sean, now 25.

"I missed the first two or three years of their lives. I didn’t want to make that mistake with Alastair."

Rod and Penny have been engaged since March 2005.  They are planning to marry later this year, and will try for a honeymoon baby. Rod says they’ve got, "One more [baby] in the pipeline!"

Us Weekly features dads of a certain age

The November 20th issue of Us Weekly has a photo spread of celebrity dads over 50 with small children, called "Never Too Old to be a Daddy: Is 60 the new 30? For these stars, it’s not too late to start a family." In the case of 3 of these dads, they have much older children from past relationships so they aren’t starting a family, but starting new familes.

Featured are:
-Rod Stewart, 61, papa to 11 month old Alastair with fiance Penny Lancaster, 35, who says, "I haven’t joined the pipe and slipper club yet!" He has five other children: Kimberly and Sean with Alana Stewart, Ruby with Kelly Emberg, Renee and Liam with Rachel Hunter.
-Mick Jagger, 63, father to 7 year old Lucas, with Luciana Morad, 37, and six other children: Karis with Marsha Hunt, Jade with Bianca Jagger, and Elizabeth, James, Georgia, and Gabriel with model Jerry Hall.
-Michael Douglas, 62, daddy to Carys, 3, and Dylan, 6, with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, 37, says, "Twenty years ago, it was career first, family second.  If you’re blessed enough to start a new marriage and a new life, that’s the most fun."  He also has a son, Cameron, with ex-wife Diandra.
-David Letterman, 59, father to Harry with Regina Lasko, 45, who says, "He opened a window in my heart, and the light of the world shined in."  What a beautiful sentiment!
