Patricia Heaton on raising four boys

Patriciaheaton_139761_cbbOn Everbody Loves Raymond and on her upcoming FOX comedy Back to You, Patricia Heaton‘s characters have daughters — a refreshing departure for the 49-year-old with four sons at home.
It’s nice to have a girl thing going on. I’ve got four boys at home, so this summer was all Transformers, paint ball and air guns.
Patricia and her husband David Hunt are parents to Sam, 13, John Basil, 12, Joseph Charles, 10, and Daniel Patrick, 8. But when asked to list their ages, the actress joked,
Eight, 10…I have no idea [laughs]. Eight, 10, 12 and 13. It’s so much fun to watch them. They’re getting to the age where we’re almost able to watch movies together, which I’m so happy about.
The boys love spending time with their mom too. While "they could care less" that Patricia is an actress, the four of them do care about her workload.
When I did a pilot for ABC last year, my third son was upset that I was going back to work. I said, ‘We’re just shooting a pilot. It might not be any good. And he said, ‘It’s going to be really good, and you’re going to be working again.’
Patricia is working nowadays on Back to You, which premieres Wednesday at 8:00, but luckily for her sons, the hours are not bad at all.
The hours were so short nobody even noticed I was gone!

Dayna Devon opens up about her tummy tuck

Daynadevon_0290_cbb_2As anyone who ever had ‘two kids under two’ knows, back-to-back pregnancies take a huge toll on your body, and — as mom to Emmi Reese, who just turned 2 last Sunday, and 8-month-old Cole Brent — Dayna Devon knows the consequences well.  Although she was able to shed the 24 lbs she gained with each pregnancy by 6-months postpartum, EXTRA host Dayna tells the Sept. 17 issue of People, on newsstands now, that she was left with belly flab that simply wouldn’t budge.

Patricia Heaton and family at Simpsons premiere

Actress Patricia Heaton, 49, and her husband David Hunt brought their four sons — Sam, 14, John Basil, 12, Joseph Charles, 10, and Daniel Patrick, 8 — to the premiere of The Simpsons Movie on Tuesday evening.

Patricia Heaton snoops on son's emails

Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton admitted that she keeps tabs on her oldest son, Sam, 13, by reading his email and text messages. 

She said, "I think he is [interested in girls] and the only way I know this is because I check his emails. When he goes to sleep I get his cell phone and check his text messages.  They don’t talk to me about anything. They’re boys. ‘How was school?’ ‘Fine.’ ‘What happened?’ ‘Nothing.’"  She adds, jokingly, "And then a parent will call and say, ‘Did you hear about the stabbing on the playground?’ And I’m like, ‘Why didn’t you tell me about the stabbing on the playground?’"

She has three other children with husband David Hunt – Dan, 8, Joseph, 9, and John, 10.
