Melanie Griffith on the many talents of her children

Actress Melanie Griffith, 49, has had her share of ups and downs, she is now settled in with her husband of almost eleven years, Antonio Banderas, and her three children, Alexander, 21, Dakota, 17, and Stella, 10.

In a recent interview with OK! Magazine, Melanie talks about how being a mom and a wife is more important than doing movies. She tells the magazine,

My kids and my husband have always been my priority. I’m glad that I have my whole life to fill me up, because if I only had my career I’d probably be committing suicide by now.

Melanie also talks proudly about her children and their many diverse talents.

Dakota is naturally very thin but she’s not starving herself to be a model. She’s an amazing artist and paints beautifully. My eldest, Alexander, is in New York studying philosophy, music, and Buddhism. Stella doesn’t know what she wants to do yet. She’s smart, writes beautifully, plays the piano and is a fabulous athlete. I know everybody loves their kids and thinks they are unique, but mine really are!
