Pregnant Jaime Pressly at Parc

Pregnant actress Jaime Pressly, 29, who expects son Dezi James on May 8th, was spotted out at Parc nightclub over the weekend. Wondering why a heavily pregnant woman is at a nightclub? She just had dinner there this time, but Jaime often accompanies her fiance, DJ Eric Cubiche, to work – here she is doing the same thing back in January.

Img_0149_cbbPregnant actress Jaime Pressly, 29, eagerly awaits the arrival of her son Dezi James Calvo, next month, and gives Us Weekly a peek at his safari-themed nursery. Dezi is now due May 8th – a change, since earlier Jaime had given her due date as May 13th. Here are the interview highlights – click the extended post to check out Dezi’s jungle room in detail.

Turkeys done: I can’t wait to get my body back!

But something will be cookin’ again soon: In the next two years, I’d like another child, so Dezi has a companion.

Why the safari theme?: Teddy bears get old. It’s great stimulation and he’ll grow into it. [We chose the crib and changing table] because you can use them for a boy or a girl.

Steal That Look, Forty Weeks Style: Jaime Pressly

Fw_logo_hi_res by Julia Beck, of Forty Weeks

04162007082454pm_cbb_2Jaime Pressly was quite the expectant cover girl! The actress and soon to be Mom graced the cover of Redbook in a form fitting strapless red dress.  She was looking curvy and toned in the all the right places. And the stunning red color was a bold and complimentary choice!

Here’s What to Keep in Mind when Stealing Jaime Presley’s Look Forty Weeks Style
*Strapless dressing is not for all body types — the top will be too much to handle on a large busted woman.  If your find yourself falling out (or feel a little too much jiggle) think again.
*Rouching and gathering will make this simple cut stunning by framing your bump just so. Keep an eye out for details that compliment your changing body.
*Solid, vibrant color is a good choice. Avoid too much going on (patterns on this body can be difficult to pull off) and opt to make a statement with a hue that brings out the luminescence of your skin.
*Pay careful attention to fabric choice – it dictates how you will wear a dress.
*Look for built in support or add your own. This is important for women of all sizes.
*Make it yours! With dresses in the casual range, carefully selected accessories will make a statement and change the look based on your mood.

Jaime Pressly can't wait for Dezi to arrive

04162007082454pm_cbb_2There’s no doubt Jaime Pressly, 29, is ecstatic for this coming Mother’s Day; she is also due to give birth to her first child with fiance Eric Cubiche, 31, a son to be named Dezi James. Redbook Magazine featured the beautiful Jaime, where she talks about her pregnancy, becoming a working mom, and why they chose the name Dezi James.

Jaime has wanted to be a mother since she was a young girl. It’s the one thing that has been consistent throughout my life and was always a goal for me. That goal is why I’ve worked so hard; I wanted to know I could financially support myself as well as my children.

On being a mother for the first time: It’s surreal, but because it’s something I’ve always wanted, it feels so natural and right. I cannot wait for this boy to come. Last night Eric and I were putting together the bassinet and I couldn’t stop staring at it. This morning I said to Eric, ‘We’re having a baby 50 days from today,’ and he was like, ‘Why are you counting like that? It’s freaking me out.’

I just keep thinking about the day when I’m leaving the hospital and getting in the car, and Eric will be driving and I’ll be getting into the backseat next to the baby, and then getting to the house with the baby and walking in the front door — all in this whole new way we’ve never done before. Just simple, little things that seem so surreal to me because it’s completely different from what we do and know.

Jaime’s pregnancy was planned to accommodate her work schedule. I wanted to have time off for this. I didn’t want to have to worry about my job and being away from my work or the baby.

A hit TV show, a fashion line, and a family… it doesn’t overwhelm Jaime that much. I’vealways been better at doing 10 things at a time than doing one thing. But I don’t think there’s anyone out there who works and is a motherwho doesn’t get overwhelmed at some point. Then add some raginghormones into the mix and suddenly you’re asking yourself, ‘How am Igoing to do this?’ The key to being able to manage it all properly isto have an amazing support group of people around you. And when I saysupport, I mean real friends and family and that’s where I’m verylucky: I still have my friends from high school, my manager and lawyerhave been with me for 13 years, and all the women I work with on myfashion line have been with me from the start.

No wedding bells yet for Jaime and Eric. Right now, I’mnot planning a wedding — I’m planning on having baby. If we decide inanother year or even five that we want to get married, then we will. Iwant to have a child, but I don’t necessarily think I have to getmarried to do that.

Eric has no problem fulfilling Jaime’s late-night cravings. Erichas turned into such a big help. I know that a lot of men don’t want tolift a finger, and that was him, too. But I put my foot down rightaway. I said, ‘Listen buddy, this is a team effort.’ Since then, he’sthere for me 100 percent. A few nights ago we were in bed all comfy, and I turned to him and said, ‘I have to have McDonald’s right now… Ineed a number two with no pickles and no onions.’ And he said, ‘Is thatall you want?’ and I was like, ‘You mean you’re going to go?’ and hesaid, ‘Of course.’ And he got up and went.

Jaime marvels on how much her body has changed. SometimesI’ll stand before the mirror naked and hold my belly and say, ‘This isthe most amazing thing ever.’ But honey, these little saddlebags on theside of me right now [her thighs], I have never had anything like that. And my boobs are out of control. When my milk comes in, I’m going to beable to feed a small village. After I have the baby, I’m going to getback to the gym and G.I. Jane it and I’ll get back in shape. [Co-star Ethan Suplee has said that My Name is Earl is beginning to film late this year so Jaime can establish her nursing relationship.]

Jaime is infatuated with Lucille Ball, hence the name Dezi. Ericis Cuban and Dezi Arnaz was Cuban. And sometimes when Eric comes homefrom work he’ll go, ‘Luuuuuucy, I’m home.’ One day he did it and I went’Dezzzzzzi’ and we both said, ‘That’s a really cool name.’ And James ismy father’s and brother’s name.

In the end, Jaime doesn’t worry about being young, sexy, and successful. I’mgoing to work my butt off so I can pull a Demi Moore and take time offto just be a mom. And really, as long as women take care of themselvesand feel good about themselves, it’s not about age. The most importantthing to remember is that friends and talent never get old. For as manywrinkles as we have, we will have just as much wisdom and experience.

Tori Spelling and Jaime Pressly love Graco too!

We recently told you how Marcia Cross ordered a heap of Graco gear for her recently arrived twins, Eden Mahoney and Savannah Mahoney, 3 weeks. The latest celebrities to rave over Graco products are Tori Spelling (who just welcomed son Liam Aaron) and Jaime Pressly, who is expecting her first child, a son, Dezi, in May.

Milan

Graco introduced their new line, Milan, recently and the two celebrity mothers went crazy for them. The Milan fashion line is inspired by the Italian city; the centre of fashion and design. The line offers a contemporary look perfect for today. The upbest geometric design of aqua, brown and green is classy and so fun.  It works for both boys and girls so you can use them if you’re waiting to find out the gender and for all of your kids.

PlayyardThe Pack ‘n Play Playard in Milan print is the ultimate baby accessory. It is a play pen, bassinet, change table and storage solution all in one. The change table is a convenient height, it store diapers, wipes and anything else you can think of, it has time settings, classical songs and a matress with vibrations to soothe your baby. The Pack ‘n Play is also one of the easier playards to set up and take down.  At only $199, this is one of the top baby accessories of the year. It is fun, unique and so handy.

SnugrideTori and Jaime also purchased the top rated SnugRide® Infant Car Seat in Milan™ ($150) and the Silhouette™ Swing in Milan™ ($140).

Like other Graco SnugRide car seats, the Milan version has side impact protection, EPS energy absorbing foam, LATCH for attaching to your car, a five point harness, and can be used with out without the base (great for when you travel or ride in someone else’s car). This upgraded model has a canopy with a peek a boo window (so you can check on baby), all weather boot (a cover) to keep baby warm, a double infant head support with harness covers, and GracoPedic™ foam for added comfort.  We love that the harness straps adjust at the front of the seat making getting baby in and out even easier.

Swing_1The swing has six speeds and two speed vibration, plays ten classical songs and five nature sounds (including white noise which is comforting to babies), a removable mobile with three plush mobile toys that rotate, and a tray with two toys. (Danielle says that a swing is an absolute must-have because it’s great for helping baby to fall asleep and lets you put baby down, keeping them happy, so you can prepare dinner, take a shower, eat, etc.)

What do you think of the new print?  Would you buy any of these products?

Jaime Pressly on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Pregnant actress Jaime Pressly appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last Wednesday the 21st. She’s expecting her son Dezi James on May 13th. Some highlights from the interview:

  • Jaime sleeps with four or five pillows because she’s so uncomfortable.
  • Her baby shower is coming up, and it’s co-ed. They’re serving Cuban food for her fiance’s heritage, Southern food for hers, and lots of drinks – except for her, she said!
  • Jaime spoke about the cast of her show, My Name is Earl, finding out about her pregnancy very early on because she was, as she put it, so bitchy! They figured out what was going when they noticed her sudden food cravings.
  • Jay gave Jaime lots of ‘white trash’ baby gifts geared towards her character, Joy. Jaime seemed to get a real kick out of them – even the ‘astronaut diapers,’ a play on the news story for a few weeks ago!

Thanks to CBB readers Greg, Nicole, and Jo.
