Rowan Henchy's first interview

Mr_fp_130243_cbbAt the ripe age of 4, Rowan Francis Henchy has granted her first interview to the media. The first daughter of Brooke Shields and Chris Henchy and sister of Grier Hammond, 14 months, spoke to Us Weekly during a trip to Disneyland.

Here’s the short Q&A:

Have you been to Disneyland before?

No, but yesterday I went on this…what is it called, Mama? ['A roller coaster,' says Brooke.] A roller coaster! And you go superfast. And there are these sprinkles and you get wet, and rocks falling down, but they’re not real-life rocks. And we went in this cave, and it was so scary.

What’s your favorite thing to do with your mom?

Go to the park with her and Grier.

What does Grier do that makes you laugh? Is she a funny baby?

She goes potty in her pants!

Brooke Shields relocating to NYC for new show

Splashnews_lela010407a_25_cbbNow that her new dramedy Lipstick Jungle, based on the book of the same title by Sex and the City novelist Candace Bushnell, has been picked up by NBC, Brooke Shields has a full-time television gig on her hands that will find her shooting on location in New York City. The actress plans on bringing her daughters, Rowan, 4 tomorrow, and Grier, 13 months, back to her hometown with her while having husband, producer Chris Henchy visit on weekends.

He’ll commute. He’s going to come Thursdays to Mondays. I’ve been wanting to get back home for so many years. It’s really good for me to just to be here. And my kids just love it. I take the kids every day to a different museum and the park and just experience the diversity of the city.

As previously reported, Brooke is heading the Chain of Confidence campaign with Tupperware, the direct focus of which is to provide a strong support group for women and strengthen female relationships. She says her closest girlfriends were the ones who helped her get through postpartum depression.

Absolutely! My poor husband was taking care of the baby, and my girlfriends would come over and stay with me. It was a network of females who knew something was really wrong. That was really huge for me.

Nowadays, things are looking up for Brooke, although she says that life isn’t always rosy, but there are some things she can depend on.

It always has the potential to go either way at any given time, but there are certain things I can count on: the love of my children and for my children, my friends.

Lipstick Jungle is slated for a January Sunday night premiere at 10 p.m. on NBC.

Grier Henchy's having a Tweety party

5_2Grier Hammond Henchy, who celebrated her first on Wednesday, is having a Tweety Bird party this weekend – even if her dad doesn’t have a clue about it! While attending a cancer benefit on Tuesday night, a reporter from USA Today asked Chris Henchy if there would be a party and what the theme would be. Chris answered, ‘One-year-olds don’t need themes.’ However, Brooke Shields quickly jumped in, telling Chris,

Oh, I forgot to tell you. I went for a Tweety Bird theme, because Grier’s head looks like Tweety Bird. She’s sort of all eyes.

Do you agree with Brooke’s assessment of her daughter’s looks – does Grier look like a little Tweety?
