Dayna Devon opens up about her tummy tuck

Daynadevon_0290_cbb_2As anyone who ever had ‘two kids under two’ knows, back-to-back pregnancies take a huge toll on your body, and — as mom to Emmi Reese, who just turned 2 last Sunday, and 8-month-old Cole BrentDayna Devon knows the consequences well.  Although she was able to shed the 24 lbs she gained with each pregnancy by 6-months postpartum, EXTRA host Dayna tells the Sept. 17 issue of People, on newsstands now, that she was left with belly flab that simply wouldn’t budge.

How Dayna Devon and Diane Farr lost their baby weight

Family_cbbExtra‘s Dayna Devon and Numb3rs star Diane Farr spoke to In Touch abouttheir post-pregnancy weight loss techniques and diets. Dayna, whowelcomed son Cole Brent, with husband Dr. Brent Moelleken, on January5, credits trips to the gym four times a week and daily walks forhelping her drop the extra 24 lbs. Little runs don’t hurt either.

When [Cole and Emmi Reese, 22 months] get crabby, I’ll put them in the double stroller and go run.

Her diet includes 1,200-1,300 calorie meals from Fresh Dining, delivered right to her front door.

You can’t eat much healthier than this, as you have all the protein, antioxidants, and good fats that you need.

Meanwhile,Diane, who had a "carb festival" while pregnant with her and husbandSeung Yong Chong‘s son Beckett Mancuso, now 4 months, dropped the 52lbs. she gained in just two months thanks to hiking, yoga and a fruit and vegetable diet – ZonePerfect bars included.

I was in really good shape before my pregnancy and that really helped.

Devon-Moelleken family at A Time For Heroes event

EXTRA! co-host Dayna Devon, 37, and her husband, plastic surgeon Dr. Brent Moelleken, bring their children Emmi Reese, 21 months, and Cole Brent, 5 months, to the A Time For Heroes event to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, held on Sunday.

Dayna is well-aware her children look just like their dad — in May, she told us that she and Brent joke about it.

It’s a case of uterine rental. I got no representation.

Dayna Devon felt pressure to look good while pregnant

Family_cbb Extra anchor Dayna Devon knows she has to look good on the red carpet and says she definitely felt pressure to keep up the glamorous appearance during her pregnancies with daughter Emmi Reese, 19 months, and son Cole Brent, 4 months, with husband, plastic surgeon, Dr. Brent Moelleken. She tells OK! Magazine she couldn’t help feeling self-conscious at times, especially next to someone like Heidi Klum.

It was really hard being pregnant because I was basically pregnant for two years and when you’re walking down the carpet with Heidi Klum, who’s a supermodel and pregnant, and not trying to feel competition, that is next to impossible.

Dayna also says it’s difficult raising two kids under the age of two, especially now that Emmi can talk and express herself.

When I was home for maternity leave for my son Cole, I got closer to my daughter and she’s just now at the age where, ‘No, no, no, Mommy, no!’ And it tears you apart. It’s made me question everything in my life. I take it day by day, and make every single moment count.

Dayna Devon welcomes a son

Dayna_devon_2Extra!‘s Dayna Devon, 36, and her husband, plastic surgeon Brent Moelleken, 46, welcomed their second child, son Cole Brent on Friday, January 5th. Cole joins big sister Emmi Reese, 16 months old.

Cole was delivered via c-section two weeks before his due date because Dayna had excessive amniotic fluid. Of her 8 pound, 2 ounce son, Dayna said, "Thank goodness I had a c-section delivery because this is not a baby, he’s a linebacker."  Had he gone two weeks more, he might have weighed as much as a pound more.

The baby had some fluid in his lungs and is supposed to go home today. Dayna said, "Brent and I are grateful he’s doing so well, even though the first couple days were stressful. His big sister Emmi doesn’t quite get it yet, but we are now going to be a happy family unit of four."

Unfortunately, this wasn’t Dayna’s first stressful birth – Emmi was born by emergency c-section in the middle of the night in September 2005.
