Jennie Garth sets example for her daughter

Jenniepeter3_cbbJennie Garth may have taken a tumble during her quickstep on Dancing with the Stars last week, but a good thing did come out of it.

To have my daughter here, see me make a mistake and get back up is a good lesson for her.

The 35-year-old actress has three daughters, Luca Bella, 10, Lola Ray, 4 1/2, and Fiona Eve, 1, with husband Peter Facinelli, 33. Jennie has been outspoken about competing for her girls and trying to do them proud.

Jennie Garth brings husband to tears through 'Dancing'

Jennie_garthDancing with the Stars competitor Jennie Garth, 35, gave an emotional performance last night — at least for her husband, Peter Facinelli, 33. Jennie tells Access Hollywood:

I think my husband was crying when he stood up at the end and was clapping for me. He knows how hard I’ve been working and sacrificing time with my babies.

When the interviewer for Access Hollywood asked Peter if the tears were for real, he responded saying:

Yeah. David Hasselhoff crocodile tears coming down my face.

Peter also made a comment about Jennie’s new shape since she has been dancing.

I said it’s like I got a new car.

Jennie responded by covering Peter’s mouth saying:

No, don’t tell them the rest. This is a family show.

Jennie and Peter are parents to three daughters: Luca Bella, 10, Lola Ray, 4 1/2, and Fiona Eve, 1 on Sept. 30.

Jane Seymour dances for her mom

JaneseymoreActress Jane Seymour, 56, is competing on Dancing with the Stars this fall. During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show, Ellen, Seymour explained that she has a special reason to excel in the competition – she is dancing for her mom.

I was really, really sad, because my mom had a stroke, and she’s in a nursing home, and she can’t talk anymore and she can’t move. I’d been asked to do (the show) and I mentioned it to her over the phone…and my mother started trying to talk. She went, ‘Wuhwuhwuhwuhwuh,’ she got so excited.

So then I said, ‘Well, Mommy, I’m going to do it for you, and I hope you’ll be proud.’ And she said the first word she’s ever said [since the stroke]. She said, ‘Yes!’ And we were all in shock. So I’m doing it for her. And they’re going to show it in England two days after we do it here, so she’ll actually be able to see it.

Jane is mother to four children: Katherine, 26, Sean, 21, and twins Johnny and Kris, 12.

Bridie Carter on Dancing with the Stars, more children and her delicious son

P9240047_2Former McLeod’s Daughters star, Australian actress Bridie Carter, 36, talked to Woman’s Day this week about her upcoming role as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars and her "delicious" son. Bridie, who worked on McLeod’s Daughters for over five years, returned to work just six weeks after welcoming son, Otis Carter Wilson, in March 2005. Bridie is married to clothing designer, Michael Wilson.

Bridie says that Otis is just adorable and that going back to work, while breastfeeding, was one of the hardest things she has ever done.

He’s delicious, edible, my heart explodes with love! After he was born, I said I didn’t realize how much love you could feel for your child, but it gets better and better. He’s at such a wonderful age now. It makes it hard to go to work, but he comes with me to every job. He was only five weeks old when I went back to McLeod’s. I look back with horror. I was working 60-hour weeks and breast-feeding.

When asked about having more children, this is definitely something that Bridie and Michael have considered. Though, not initially.

That’s the question everyone asks as soon as you have one child! I didn’t think I wanted another baby at first, but my dear cousin Jess told me something would happen once Otis turned two, and it has. We would love him to have a sibling. I think he would be a great brother. Not yet, but I’m open to the idea. That’s the plan.

More on Samantha Harris' baby shower

Samantha2_cbbOK! caught up with Dancing with the Stars host Samantha Harris at her Aug. 4 Malibu baby shower, where the glowing mom-to-be eschewed flowers for "diaper cakes" as centerpieces.
Instead of flowers, I have centerpieces called ‘diaper cakes’ by Nine Months Later. You get to take them home and use the washcloths, diapers and toys that they are made of.
The E! News correspondent invited many of her DWTS buddies because "you can’t go wrong having all your friends around you."
I’m beyond thrilled to be on the beach and to have a laid-back, casual, nontraditional baby shower. This is just a fun, big party to celebrate baby.
Samantha is "almost" in her eighth month and she and her husband Michael Hess have not found out the sex yet.
We don’t want to find out the sex of the baby. We are so looking forward to that big, fabulous surprise on delivery day.
The pregnancy has been smooth-sailing so far for the 33-year-old — no cravings even, although she admits she’s always had a sweet tooth.
I feel a little guilty saying that it’s been a really wonderful pregnancy…I’ve been sticking with my regular diet, which is a balance of proteins and carbs.
Samantha has also been keeping in shape, exercising and taking long walks.
I’ve altered my workout, so I’ve dropped the amount of weight that I use for free weights. I’ve gone to yoga classes and taken a lot of walks with my husband.
Ever the multi-tasker, Samantha has no plans to quit either of her shows and hopes to find a way to juggle work and family.
I love both my jobs and I plan to continue them. We’ll find a way with Michael’s help and a great nanny.

Emerson Rose Tenney loves to cook

70621j4_hatcher_t_b_gr_22_cbbEmerson Rose Tenney, 9 1/2, is following in her mom’s footsteps — into the kitchen. Teri Hatcher, famous for sharing baked treats on set, says Emerson has some serious culinary chops.
My daughter loves to cook. She brought an enchilada dish she made to the set. She’s very into it.
She definitely has the skills to back it up. Before going to Eva Longoria and Tony Parker‘s wedding, Teri, 42, and Emerson enrolled in cooking school in Italy. And when they’re not slaving away in the kitchen, they’re watching others do so on television in between viewings of Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.
Oh, I don’t know [which cooking show is our favorite]; we like them all!
