US Weekly: Celebrities and their look-a-like children

ShiiiiUS Weekly has a new feature on celebrities and their look-a-like children. The feature includes photos comparing the two and a little quote about each pair. Check out the following celebrities and their children;

Angelina Jolie and daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, 13 months;

She is the sweetest, quietest baby ever.

Liam Aaron McDermott, 3 months and father, Dean McDermott;

I’m going to try not to be overprotective, but I am already concerned with people holding him right.

Jennifer Garner and daughter, Violet Anne Affleck, 19 months; it is obvious that Violet has Jen’s dimples but Ben says that she has inherited his clumsiness.

Britney Spears and Sean Preston Federline, 21 months;

[Sean] is happy and outgoing. He loves playing with his brother [Jayden James, 9 months].

Britney Spears writes to fans, explains time in rehab

Britney_spears_070523_15_cbbIn a letter to fans on her site, Britney Spears, 25, writes about her sons, Sean Preston, 20 months, and Jayden James, 8 months, her stint in rehab, and people’s perceptions of her. Some excerpts:

I am sitting here at home and it is 6:25 and both of my sons areasleep. I am truly blessed to have them in my life. Everyday is sosurreal. Life in general is so surreal and crazy.

Recently, I was sent to a very humbling place called rehab. I truly hitrock bottom. Till this day I don’t think that it was alcohol ordepression. I was like a bad kid running around with ADD…I was so overwhelmed I think that I was in alittle shock too. I didn’t know who to go to. I realized how muchenergy and love I had put into my past relationship when it was gonebecause I genuinely did not know what to do with myself, and it made meso sad. I confess, I was so lost.

When I was little I remember every night watching movies with my family and feeling so at peace. Dancing and singing all the time just like a little girl should. Nowrecently I find with my children that I want them to have that feelingall of the time. I am having to face a lot of things right now since Ihave children of my own. A lot of insecurities from when I was littleare coming up again. It is like we are never good enough.

I know everyone thinks that I am playing the victim, but I am not and Ihate what is going on right now so much. Maybe this is the reason forthis letter…to maybe allow people to look at me differently…I am only human people and I love you for still loving me…I just hope this lettermade some of you think a little bit more of me and where I am comingfrom. I just want the same things in life that you want…and that isto be happy. It is just so weird because everyone has their ownperception of me and how they think I really am.

Britney Spears packs it up in a Ju-Ju-Be Pack-a-Be

Packabe06_perkyBritney Spears is the latest celebrity parent to own a Ju-Ju-Be, a high-end line of baby bags and accessories packed with innovation and fashion. Partnering with DuPont, Ju-Ju-Be created the first line of teflon-treated diaper bags that repel stains. They were also the first to include an antimicrobial treatment to kills germs,mold and fungus.

The company tells us that Britney picked up the Pack-a-Be, a backpack style diaper bag, in the Perennials pattern at the Nordstrom at The Grove in LA.  Later she was photographed wearing the bag heading for Orlando. True it’s a stylish diaper bag, but we didn’t see her little ones withher, so we think she just thinks it’s an awesome bag, no matter whatits use! (Check out Britney with the bag here and here.)

Inside_packabeI have the Pack-a-Be in Lush Paisley and think it’s the bomb.  It’s so roomy, with good size pockets, and the smartly bright lining so you can actually find stuff. I’m a big fan of the magnetic close exterior pockets too.  You just have to love their loud-and-proud patterns.  If you don’t love them, they do have very sedate options- black with lime or silver trim and brown with pink or blue trim. I do find the Pack-A-Be to be slightly heavy so it’s not for quick jaunts.

Their other bag styles include a diaper changing kit, a wristlet, a diaper-only bag, a messenger bag, a toddler tote, a small diaper bag (for short trips), and "dad" bags (you know, not loud-and-proud or pink).

I also like their coordinating silvertone accessories which include a "snack capsule," which we use to bring Anya’s food wherever we go- we call it her feedbag, a "mess  shuttle" for dirty clothes, a "wardrobe station" for an extra set of clothes, and a "bottle and sippy rocket" to keep those drinks cool.  I love that you can throw all of these things into the bag and reload them and always be ready to go.

They put as much thought into their website too.  Not only do they show you what the inside of each bag looks like, a forum to discuss issues and suggestion, they also have a cool feature- the IRL Gallery- photos of their very satisfied customers with their bags and what fits in their bags.

Other celeb parents who have been sent Ju-Ju-Be bags include Matt Damon, Tom Cruise (who received the
JJB Dad Bag),  Katie Holmes, and Jennifer Garner.

Ju-Ju-Be was one of many companies who, participating in our Holiday Project, sent over $450 of their products to Good Shepherd, a leading youthdevelopment and family service agency that serves over 18,000 clients ayear.
