I mean, yesterday Angie was taking Maddie off to school. There were 30 paparazzi outside. One guy sticks a videocamera in Mad’s face, yelling, ‘Maddox! Maddox!’ He doesn’t get aresponse. He doesn’t know my boy. Mad is already savvy to this,unfortunately.

But my 2-year-old dreads being anyplace there arecameras. It scares her. They’re all in her face. My kids are faced withthis every day! It’s disgusting. So we’ve been run out of L.A., all themajor cities. We just can’t live there. You don’t understand — this isthe hunt, the hunt, the hunt! I thought it might be over a year ago.It’s gotten worse.

Brad has many beliefs that he lives his life by, but one of the most important is family.

What’s important to me is that I’ve defined my beliefs and livedaccording to them and not betrayed them. One of those is mybelief in family. I still have faith in that.

Actor Brad Pitt, 43, is making the media rounds in promotion of his new film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.  In so doing, Brad has talked to USA Today and the Associated Press (AP) about his family and the influence the paparazzi has on their lives, as well as the possibility of more children. Brad and partner, Angelina Jolie, 32, raise four children; Maddox Chivan, 6, Pax Thien, 3 1/2, Zahara Marley, 2 1/2, and Shiloh Nouvel, 15 1/2 months.

One interview took place while Brad was in Toronto and he had already been away from his children for two days. Two days too many.

Two days without the kids [he mutters, shaking his head.]

The main thing that concerns Brad is the presence of the paparazzi around his children. Though he does insist that he understands the nature of their work.

I understand the deal [of the paparazzi]. It got chaotic last night, but there was genuine happiness, and it meant something to them. It only bothers me when they get in the kid’s faces.

Brad also mentioned that he and Angelina are not done in adding to their ever-expanding brood.

We’re certainly not done. They say, ‘Any plans for a fifth?’ And I say, ‘And a sixth, and a seventh, and an eighth, and a ninth.’ That’s my answer…

The couple have spoken in the past about how much they enjoy a family bed.  Brad said that although their custom-made 9-foot wide bed is "just big enough" to fit the family of six, more children means the co-sleeping accommodations will need to be re-visited.

One more and we’ll have to go to 11 feet.

However, an interviewer with USA Today did question how the constant travel and movement effects the children.

We just take turns and make sure we keep the family together.  It’s impossible for us [to stay put]. We’re run out of every majorcity. There’s just too many paparazzi. There’s always cameras in thekids’ faces, yelling their names. Angie gets out of the car, and theytake the camera down to the curb and shoot up [her skirt]. It’sunbelievable…there’s a constant negotiation in how to survive and howto maintain a family life.

I was with my friend Cathy and our kids at the Carl Schulz Park on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.At around 10 AM we moved over to a different playing area, where my friend showed some recognition like she knew someone.

As I looked closer I saw a woman who looked a lot like Angelina Jolie — but she was so inconspicuous, standing on the climbing frame with Zahara. They also didn’t really have a crowd around them.Angelina was there with Zahara and Pax and a bodyguard.

They moved over to the monkey bars and slides and at that point, she had a rather large crowd of people — at a slight distance — snapping pictures with their phones. Angelina was playing with the kids, really hands on. She went down the slide with Z on her knee and Pax next to her, and was helping Pax go down the ladder and across the monkey bars.

The kids were running around (not really noticing the crowds!) wanting to go again and again on the slide etc.Angelina didn’t really react to the crowds either — but she didn’t ignore them. She was busy with playing with her kids. It was nice to see her kids playing side by side with all the park go-ers, going down the slide with them etc.
 
As they were leaving the park they walked right by us and smiled.At this hour of the morning there are a lot of  babies with nannies and moms.  I heard people calling their friends/family and telling them (I guess just like I did)!
