J.R. Martinez and Diana Gonzalez-Jones, who are expecting their first child — a girl! — in May, have narrowed the names to two. Expect something special – but nothing absurd.

“We won’t name her Apple Cider or Salami,” the Dancing with the Stars champ, 28, vowed to PEOPLE at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.

“It won’t be our favorite dish or our favorite getaway or favorite car or show.”

So, what’s left after that?

“It will be something really close and personal to us that feels like we’re giving something to her that is very special,” he says.

Martinez and his girlfriend want to wait to meet their newborn before deciding officially.

“She’ll probably come out and we’ll be like, ‘That’s the name,’” Martinez says. “We have narrowed it down to two names and we agree on it, which is good. I hear that traditionally, when it comes to the name picking, that’s when the disagreements occur. But I think it will be a nice flow.”

Gonzalez-Jones says she’s feeling good, and that the reality of becoming a mother is starting to set in.

“I’m six months now,” she says. “The first five months, I wasn’t showing, she wasn’t really moving too much. Now, she’s kicking all the time. She’s like, ‘I’m here, I’m coming.’ And it’s like, oh yeah, it’s coming soon!”

The couple, who are preparing to move from Studio City to Sherman Oaks, Calif., are also thinking about themes for the nursery.

“We don’t want to douse her in pink,” Martinez says. “That is the cool thing we agree on. We want, like, light pink, but not all pink.”

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are learning this as they prepare for their third child — and are getting an avalanche of suggestions for names from daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3.

“Our girls are working on names. At first they were definitely Disney. It was like, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse Affleck,” the Butter star, 39, said Wednesday on The Tonight Show.

“And then they’ve moved on. Then it was Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Smee.”

With those character names not really cutting it, the girls moved on to other strategies.

“They’re coming up with lists, and coming in and saying, ‘Let’s have a baby-naming contest! Let’s have a baby-naming poll!’” Garner, who’s due in the spring, says. “They ask everyone, cause they just want to know. But we’re not telling.”

Garner knows the sex of the baby, but declined to reveal it on the show. Asked if her husband wants a boy, Garner — who has said she wants a third girl — said she actually didn’t know.

“I would have thought so. At first I think I really thought so,” she said. “And then he kind of said, ‘Well, we have girls. We know how to do girls. My girls love me. I’m the big guy in the house.’ So, now I’m not sure.”

Who needs a stylist when you have a toddler?

“It’s funny – I didn’t try on that many dresses,” Sarah Michelle Gellar said on the red carpet at Sunday’s Golden Globes.

“My 2-year-old [daughter Charlotte] walked in, walked up this dress and said, ‘Mama, wear this!’ So I put it on and said, ‘OK!’ “

“She really went for it,” the Ringer star, 34, adds. “She chose the bag and shoes. I let her pick all of it.”

Being a mom means fewer movie date nights for Gellar and husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. — they still haven’t seen Bridesmaids, she admits.

“I have my stack [of DVDs] and Bridesmaids is at the absolute top,” she tells PEOPLE.

“With a 2-year-old, you start a movie when they go to sleep, and between work and [Charlotte] … I’m so tired.”

However, “I saw Annie five times today starting at 6 a.m., so if that’s nominated for anything, go Annie,” she jokes.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are suffering from a bad case of baby fever.

Only three months after welcoming their third child together — daughter Hattie Margaret — the couple already see a fourth baby in their future.

“We think we might want a fourth … we’ll see. If it’s in the stars, if it’s meant for us to have another one, we will,” Spelling, 38, tells PEOPLE.

While she insists the proud parents are already “lucky” with their family of five, McDermott quips, “I think the baby store is open for another one.”

In the meantime, however, Spelling and McDermott are settling into an easy routine with Hattie and her siblings, Liam Aaron, 4½, and Stella Doreen, 3½.

“Three children, four and under,” says the actress. “That’s the part I like to say because that’s a big feat, I think.”

But while it may sound daunting, McDermott reveals raising their growing brood has been anything but difficult.

“Oddly enough, having three children under five [has] been easy,” he says. “A lot of people ask if we’ve lost our minds and if it’s so difficult. Actually, it’s great.”

So what’s the secret to their success? The age spans between the three children.

“Liam and Stella are at the age where they’re best friends and they hang out together. And Hattie stays where you put her, so for right now, everything is really easy,” McDermott, 45, explains.

“The transition has been amazing. They take care of her and they always check in on her and want to help do stuff,” Spelling adds.

“They’re at that age where you can send them to do something like, ‘Go get this, go get that for Hattie,’ and they’ll do it.”

It will be a real winter wonderland this year for Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn‘s twin daughters.

The couple have settled with their girls — Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose, 3 — in New York for the holidays and the actor, who is performing on Broadway in Seminar, couldn’t be more excited.

“There is so much for kids to do, especially during the holiday season, here in New York. There’s the Rockettes [and] the Radio City Spectacular,” O’Connell, 37, tells PEOPLE.

“I grew up in New York and I just think it’s such a fun experience for kids. I’m so excited that my daughters are going to get to experience that.”

And while the sisters are sure to see snow during their stay on the East Coast, O’Connell reveals it won’t be a first for his California kids.

“While we do live in L.A., we took them up to the mountains once when it was snowing and we went tubing,” he shares. “They loved it so it will be a lot of fun for them to have a New York experience.”

Having raised the twins in “exactly the same way,” O’Connell is the first to admit that the stark contrast between their budding personalities has been truly “amazing” for the parents to witness.

“They’ve done everything together. I think once or twice, if my wife or I had to go to the supermarket, we said, ‘Who wants to go to the supermarket?’ and only one of them said, ‘I want to go,’” he explains.

“That’s the only time they’ve really been apart from each other, but one wants to be a cowboy, the other wants to be a princess.”

“I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears,” the mom-to-be reveals during a visit to the Rachael Ray Show, airing Monday. “It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, ‘There it went. It’s there, it’s really there.’”

But shedding a few tears isn’t anything new for Simpson, who admits she has been crying “at the drop of a hat” throughout her pregnancy. “Even a great soufflé would make me cry,” she adds.

And just as Simpson, 31, and her fiancé Eric Johnson have their guesses as to the sex of the baby, it turns out younger sister Ashlee Simpson‘s 3-year-old son Bronx Mowgli has his own ideas, too.

“He rubs my belly. He said he wants it to be a girl, but he thinks it’s going to be a boy,” Simpson — who has admitted she has no qualms about playing dress up with a son — says.

Viola Davis couldn’t be happier with her new family of three.

The actress and her husband Julian Tennon welcomed daughter Genesis in October and the first time mom is over the moon for motherhood.

“We adopted a little girl at 14 months,” Davis, who shared a picture of the sweet toddler, said during a Friday visit to The View. “It has just been wonderful.”

And while the trio have settled in nicely, The Help star admits her relationship with Genesis had a hairy start!

“She had to get used to me because black girls, sometimes we wear wigs and weaves,” Davis, 46, explains.

“So the first time I took my wig off with her, she was like, ‘Nooo!’ She literally did that.”

Fortunately, adds the new mom, it just “took her a minute” for the initial shock to fade!

Angela Kinsey is sporting a baby belly — at least during office hours.

With her character on The Office expecting her first child, the actress’s wardrobe now includes a prosthetic bump, much to the delight of daughter Isabel Ruby.

“The day I got fitted for it, I brought my 3-year-old daughter. Why would I do that? That’s weird, what am I doing to her?” Kinsey, 40, joked during a Wednesday appearance on Conan.

“She was like, ‘You have a fake belly and it squishes.’ And then she was [poking it like a punching bag].”

But her faux pregnancy isn’t Kinsey’s newest asset; During her work on her upcoming film Struck by Lightning, she was fitted for enhancements in other areas, too.

“The director thought it’d be fun if I had a fake butt. So I was like, belly one day, butt the next day,” she laughs. “It’s very round. I got attached to it … it was like my Kardashian moment.”

And for those who weren’t in on the secret, Isabel took it upon herself to share the news. “My daughter started saying things to my neighbors like, ‘My mama has a fake butt,’” Kinsey says. “And I was like, ‘She’s … messed up. Sorry.’”

In the middle of potty-training Isabel, Kinsey admits the process has left her little girl with an obsession she can’t seem to overcome. “If you came over to my house and had to go to the bathroom, she’d be like, ‘He’s going, let’s go everybody! Check it out!’” she explains.

That fascination even extends to Kinsey’s trips to the toilet, a lesson the first-time mother recently learned all too well.

“The other night I went to the bathroom and I didn’t tell her [because] she was playing. And then she literally came around the corner and was like, ‘Did you just flush the toilet?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And she’s like, ‘But I wanted to see you poop!’” she recalls.

“And she started freaking out and she was like, ‘Poop again! Poop now!’ and I was like, ‘No, I’m not going to poop again! You don’t do that!’ For five minutes she was like [sobbing], ‘I didn’t see your poop!’”

Three kids? New house? No problem for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott.

Since welcoming their third child — daughter Hattie Margaret, now 8 weeks — the Home Sweet Hollywood stars are continuing to take it all in stride.

“It’s not that crazy juggling three kids because after the second one you’ve lost your mind,” McDermott, 45, joked during a Monday appearance on The Talk.

“But to top it all off we moved, so we have a newborn and we’re still in boxes, that was the hardest thing. The place we have now we love and I want to grow old there.”

Also having to adapt to the changes are Liam Aaron, 4½, and Stella Doreen, 3½, who — despite an initial adjustment period — has now taken to the role of big sister.

“We didn’t find out what we were having — we thought we were going to have a boy. So we were really surprised when we had a girl. Stella wanted a girl and Liam wanted a boy,” Spelling, 38, shares.

“Then I think once we had a girl, she was like, ‘Wait a second.’ But now she loves it because her thing is that she picks out [Hattie's] clothes — she styles her.”

But while the new family of five may be settling in nicely, a recent picture-perfect moment temporarily turned their world upside down!

“It was the evening of my birthday … the kids stayed up to give me their presents and they had made the box that they gave me the present in,” McDermott recalls. ”They put little stickers on it of things I like, like rolling pins and frying pans because I’m into cooking.”

And when McDermott and Liam started “goofing around” as Spelling nursed Hattie behind them, the proud papa couldn’t resist snapping a shot of his son for Twitter.

“We were having so much fun so I stuck [the sticker] on his head, took a picture and I sent it. And then we went to sleep.”

The result? After his followers realized McDermott had accidentally included Spelling breastfeeding in the background, he jokes, “The next morning it was like boobie city!”

“What am I going to do? I am a mom, I was nursing my baby,” Spelling tells CNN in a separate interview. “He was so devastated about it that I couldn’t be mad. I mean, it was genuinely an accident.”
