New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck has found a new talent: Author!

“Reading is very important to any success,” Tuck, 29, told PEOPLE during a Family Storyteller event at N.Y.C.’s Housing Works Bookstore Café on May 5.

The Super Bowl champ and dad read from his children’s book, Home-Field Advantage, which is inspired by Tuck’s own childhood adventures (including being pushed around by his five older sisters), to show that toughness comes in all forms.

Even the cover image was based on snapshots of Tuck running through the yard as a kid. The young boy also bears a resemblance to Tuck’s 2-year-old son, Jayce, whom the NFL star describes as “the most fearless little kid I’ve ever been around.”

“He will take off running full speed…I’ve seen him try to tackle my dog,” Tuck says.

To encourage reading in all kids, Justin and his wife Lauran founded Tuck’s R.U.S.H. for Literacy in 2008, which has donated more than 45,000 books to participating schools.

And while the University of Notre Dame grad gathers ideas for a possible next book, he says his family will stay committed to kids and education. “We felt that those two things were going to be something we were going to be passionate about for the rest of our lives,” Tuck told PEOPLE.

“My dad talked to us about giving back — we didn’t have much growing up but whatever we did have, if we had any extra, it was going into the community.”

Karma Bridges is one lucky girl.

Not only is her dad famous rapper and actor Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, but just in time for the holidays the New Year’s Eve star has gifted the 10-year-old with her very own educational website — Karma’s World.

Featuring cool characters named L’il Luda and Smartacus, the site is loaded with age-appropriate games and stories in a variety of subjects including geography, math, science and social studies.

Also, parents and teachers can download fun lesson plans for their elementary school-aged children.

Added bonus: Karma wrote and recorded all the songs including “Fractions” and “Manners“.

“[Karma] absolutely loves [the site]. I [keep] telling her people not only from around the country but around the world are listening to her songs and looking at her website and she’s just like, ‘Really?’” Bridges told BET.

“[But] she’s more focused on the fact that Justin Bieber said congratulations to her more than anything else. That’s all she really cares about right now.”

Since welcoming daughter Harper Seven on July 10, David Beckham has wasted no time showing off his fatherly pride.

Not only did he post a sweet photo of his baby girl with wife Victoria Beckham, but he also sported a pair of pink-and-white cleats with all four of his kids’ names — Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8½, Cruz, 6½ and Harper, 1 week — during the L.A. Galaxy vs. Real Madrid match on Saturday.

Not to be outdone, Victoria has also proudly displayed her love for their newest addition.

“Baby Harper is the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen,” the former Spice Girl Tweeted recently. “I have fallen in love all over again!”

After topping the box office with Fast Five, Vin Diesel, 43, enjoys some family time with 3-year-old daughter Hania Riley while out Wednesday in New York.

Hania is the actor’s child with his girlfriend, model Paloma Jimenez.

Like most new dads, Orlando Bloom is proud of his 3-month-old son Flynn.

“He’s my boy, he’s amazing,” the actor told reporters before the premiere of The Good Doctor at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Friday.

Bloom also explained how his life has changed since his son’s arrival on Jan 6.

“Everything you know, all the things that you thought were important, drift into the background,” Bloom, 34, said. “And even things that were important really come to the fore and he’s one of them.”

Saving some compliments for Flynn’s mother, Bloom said it felt “wonderful” to have Miranda Kerr by his side at the premiere.

“She’s gorgeous,” he said of his wife of nine months, who recently showed off an unbelievable post-baby body at a bikini photo shoot.

The actor also had a movie to promote, telling reporters, “I get to play a doctor who falls in love with a patient, which is a big no-no.”

The couple have thrown open the doors to their home and their lives for a Barbara Walters special airing on ABC’s 20/20 Friday night.

Walters promises that some big questions will be answered about the new dads and their growing family, including: Which one is the biological father? Why in the world did they choose Lady Gaga as the baby’s godmother? And why did they take their shirts off in the delivery room?

During the interview, John, 64, reveals that the birth came earlier than expected and that the pair learned the surrogate was in labor while he and Furnish, 48, were out lunching and shopping.

He also says he was the one to cut the umbilical cord, after which he and Furnish both “took our shirts off” and put the baby next to their chests.

Explains Furnish: “They call it skin-to-skin bonding because it’s such a traumatic thing for a baby to come into the world.”

Clever tactics are called for when it comes to skirting pesky paparazzi. Just ask Ryan Phillippe, who has some special tricks up his sleeve to shield 11-year-old daughter Ava and 7-year-old son Deacon — his kids with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon — from aggressive photographers.

“Sometimes we’ll make it a game,” Phillippe, 36, told PEOPLE at Thursday’s Tribeca Film Festival and Cinema Society Premiere of The Bang Bang Club in New York.

“I’ll be like, let’s sneak out the back and so they can’t get a picture of us. We’ll make it a little team effort thing that they can kind of get into.”

Both Phillippe, who since earlier this year has been linked to actress Amanda Seyfried, and Witherspoon, who married agent Jim Toth last month, take time making sure their children comprehend what the celebrity photographers are doing, he tells PEOPLE.

“Reese and I both do a lot of explaining,” says the actor. “I think the best thing you can do for kids in any situation is to over-explain even, and really go into detail and say, okay all they want is a photograph and it’s worth money to them because Mom does movies, Dad does movies.”

As for the kids, each reacts differently to being snapped. “My son is a little more carefree that way,” says Phillippe. “But she’s becoming a young woman. She’s 11-years-old and she doesn’t want to be photographed and be seen by her friends in magazines all the time.”

For his part, in contrast to his daughter, Phillippe craves excitement, “I love drama. The reason I become an actor is because of that.”
