If her kids somehow aren’t Lisa Loeb‘s biggest fans by now, they’re certainly about to be.

The “Stay (I Missed You)” singer spoke with PEOPLE about lending her voice to the Amazon Original kids’ series Creative Galaxy. And her little ones with husband Roey Hershkovitz — son Emet Kuli, 4, and daughter Lyla Rose, 6½ — are sure to be stoked about their mom’s newest endeavor.

Lyla and Emet haven’t seen it yet, but as soon as it’s ready to be seen, I’m sure they’ll be really excited,” says Loeb, 48, who voices a new character named Melody in season 2 of the animated series.

Adds the singer, who also voices Princess Winger in the wildly popular Disney Junior series Jake and the Never Land Pirates, “They love all aspects of the arts, which are featured in this show, and they always find it magical to hear their mom’s voice coming out of a cute animated character.”

Lisa Loeb’s Album of Nursery Rhymes Will Have Your Kids Singing Cute Classics

10/12/2015 at 03:45 PM ET

The singer-songwriter behind ’90s classic “Stay (I Missed You)” is putting a new spin on nursery rhymes.

Lisa Loeb is releasing Nursery Rhyme Parade!, a collection of 35 familiar songs kids are bound to love. The project came about naturally for the mother of daughter Lyla Rose, 6 next month, and son Emet Kuli, 3.

“When I had my first child, I came back to the classic nursery rhymes through illustrated books, but in a lot of cases, I couldn’t remember the exact melodies,” Loeb, 47, says of the inspiration for the effort.

“I realized that the rhymes are so catchy, this generation should remember the melodies too. They are very simple and catchy.”
