01/11/2016 at 01:45 PM ET

Gael García Bernal plans to keep his coveted Golden Globe for best actor in a television series, comedy or musical in a pretty unusual place.

There’s no fancy display case for this star — Bernal, 37, tells PEOPLE the statuette is going “with my kids’ toys because that’s the safest place.”

The Mozart in the Jungle star has two children, son Lazaro, 6, and 4-year-old daughter Libertad, with Argentine actress Dolores Fonzi.

Matt Damon won big at Sunday night’s Golden Globes for his role as a missing astronaut in The Martianbut like most kids, his three daughters are more impressed with Disney’s inescapable princess hit Frozen.

So Isabella, 9, Gia, 7, and Stella, 5, were pretty preoccupied with mom Luciana‘s purple Versace gown before the A-listers prepared to leave home for the red carpet.

“They’re more interested in what Lucy’s wearing, with this Frozen stuff,” Damon, 45, told reporters in the press room at the Beverly Hills Hilton. “She’s wearing this lilac thing tonight, and it does look a little bit like something Elsa would wear. So they were really into that. And I was on my own in the corner putting on my tuxedo.”

01/11/2015 at 07:30 PM ET

Actress Keira Knightley won big before Sunday’s Golden Globes even began when she stepped out on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Wearing a Chanel gown, the mom-to-be told E!‘s Ryan Seacrest that her bibbed gown was a group effort.

“Apparently it took 30 people to make this in a week so I have to give a huge thank you to all 30 people,” she said. “It makes me really frightened — what if I spill something? It’s going to make me feel incredibly guilty so hopefully I won’t!”

But Knightley can rest easy: She won’t be staining her dress with any bubbly beverages. While talking to Entertainment Tonight, she joked it will be her first year being “very sober” at the awards due to her pregnancy. “I’ll remember everything tomorrow,” she said.
