BornFree Debuts Recyclable Bottles

Courtesy BornFree

Talk about eco-friendly!

Celebrity favorite BornFree — everyone from Jessica Alba and Matthew McConaughey to Sandra Bullock are fans — recently debuted a collection of plastic bottles that are 100 percent recyclable and BPA-free.

Might seem like a small thing, but for every ton of plastic that is recycled we save the equivalent of two people’s energy use for a year.

Besides being great for the environment, the bottles also feature the BornFree’s innovative venting system which significantly cuts down on colic.

Our faves are the versions decorated with adorable prints (left).

For more information on the company’s recycling program, go to newbornfree.com/eco-friendly.

There’s no way around it: pumping sucks (pun always intended).

Considering most women just want to get through it as quickly and efficiently as possible, it’s wise to invest in a pump that gets the job done.

But that doesn’t mean it has to be torture either.

Known for their well-made bottles and sippy cups, UK-based Tommee Tippee has just released their Closer to Nature Single Electric Breast Pump ($150), designed for a more comfortable experience.

Review: Simplisse Double Electric Companion Breast Pump

Courtesy Simplisse

Selecting an electric breast pump can be like buying a new car.

How fast is it? Which is most comfortable? What will I get for my money?

Simplisse‘s new Double Electric Breastfeeding Companion ($300) stands out from the rest of the pump pack.

With special features designed to mimic baby’s tongue, it’s definitely one of the most comfortable breast pumps we’ve tried — but the machine’s unique comfort isn’t completely functional for busy moms.

Every once in awhile, a baby product hits the market that completely revolutionizes everything. Well, we think Yoomi‘s self-warming baby bottle system ($33 – $35) definitely fits the bill. Already a hit in the U.K., it safely (and conveniently!) heats up breast milk or formula in just 60 seconds.

Designed by husband and wife team Jim and Farah Shaikh, it features breakthrough technology that warms up milk directly in the bottle to the ideal temperature (86 to 90°F).

L’ovedbaby: Adorable and Soft Baby Clothing and Accessories

Courtesy L’ovedbaby

There’s no shortage of adorable baby clothing on the market these days.

But one brand has inspired love from stylish celeb parents like Halle Berry, Brooke Shields and Milla JovovichL’ovedbaby.

Their line of 100 percent cotton separates are soft, perfect for layering — and sold for a good cause.

The company started in 2004 when founder Sharon Oved, pregnant with daughter Leigh, learned her own mother was fighting breast cancer.

The scary news inspired Oved to read extensively about the health benefits of breast feeding.

But she found nursing Leigh wasn’t as easy as mastering a good latch.
