If you’re anything like the Kardashians, holiday family photos are serious business.

Not only do you want to have fun, but you want to make sure everyone (big and small) looks their best.

So we chatted with Melissa Keswin, Gilt’s Baby & Kids director, to get her thoughts on styling your kids to perfection.

From sticking to simple yet festive hues to keeping things natural, check out what the mom-of-two suggests below.

Accessorize — but don’t overdo it. A cute headband, sparkly shoes, a bow tie or vest are all you really need to add some pop to your little’s one attire.

Molly Sims Teams Up With The Bouqs to Support Baby2Baby

11/19/2013 at 10:00 AM ET

Add floral designer to the many skills Molly Sims has in her repertoire. The model and mom — son Brooks Alan is now 16 months — is partnering with online flower delivery service, The Bouqs, to help raise money for Baby2Baby.

Sims and creative director and florist-to-the-stars Eric Buterbaugh (left) have created a special flower arrangement of white hydrangeas and green solidago called “Bundle of Joy” ($50), with $5 of each sale going towards helping less fortunate families get the essential baby gear and clothing they really need.

“Designing a floral arrangement with Eric was so, so, so much fun!” says Sims. “Helping others in need, especially during the holidays is so important. I was happy to be a part of such a creative and rewarding charitable endeavor!”

Karl! Anna! André! Adorable Fashion Icons Kids Costumes You Have to See

10/31/2013 at 10:00 AM ET

Down to wire and don’t know what you’re dressing your kids up for Halloween? Well, thanks to Oh Happy Day, a San Francisco-based party and lifestyle blog, here are four chic costumes you can whip up in no time.

Our favorite by far is the mini Anna Wintour. But the fur-clad André Leon Talley and red-wigged Grace Coddington are giving the Vogue editrix a run for her money. And the pint-size Karl Lagerfeld is a dead ringer for the real designer.

Want more details on how to create these fabulous looks before you head out to trick-or-treat? Check out Oh Happy Day’s two-part series here and here, which gives you all the details you need.

Boo-tiful! H&M’s Kids Halloween Collection Is Frightfully Cute

10/22/2013 at 02:00 PM ET

Your dreams of hosting a mini masquerade ball just got easier thanks to H&M’s new All for Children Halloween collection.

Inspired by 18th century fashions, it includes a luxe-looking sea captain’s coat ($30)  — complete with gold embroidery! — and a pink and light blue Marie Antoinette dress ($50) perfect for the famed French court.

But we think the real show-stoppers are the detailed accessories (blond wig, pug handbag, pirate boots, mermaid crown). And unlike the throwaway costumes we usually buy, these offerings are ready made for future dress-up sessions because they don’t scream holiday.

That doesn’t mean you won’t find the prerequisite spooky looks. There’s an adorable skeleton jumpsuit ($25), bat cape ($30) and pumpkin mask ($15) in the mix.

Great Ideas: How to Throw a Ghoulishy-Good Halloween Kids Party

10/10/2013 at 02:00 PM ET

Halloween is one of my family’s favorite holidays. Not only is it frightfully-fun, but it’s the one time of the year where we can let it all hang out … literally. But as a full-time event marketing executive and busy mom of three kids aged 10, 6 and almost 4, I’m always on the lookout for cool, easy-to-create holiday ideas.

In the weeks leading up to the spooky day, the kids and I like to decorate the house with pumpkins, cobwebs, tombstones and skeletons, buy tons of candy to give away and scour sites for the perfect costume (we typically get ours from buycostumes.com). But this year, I’ve decided to throw a boo-tastic bash that my children and their friends can enjoy. Below are my fave kid-friendly ideas. Check them out.

Heidi Klum Marks One Year Anniversary of Kids Line with Cute Fashion Show

10/08/2013 at 02:00 PM ET

Heidi Klum sure knows how to throw a fun birthday party. To celebrate the one year anniversary of her Truly Scrumptious collection, the mom-of-four hit the runway Saturday with mini models wearing her holiday fashions at this year’s Petite Parade.

From red leopard print coats and sequin sweatshirts to monster bow ties and graphic tees, the fun and festive attire (which is exclusively sold at Babies”R”Us) was a big hit. But what really set the show apart was the colorful oversize balloons and balloon art including the adorable birthday cake and candle.

“So happy & proud of our 1st #trulyscrumptious fashion show! Thanks @BabiesRUs & @_petitePARADE for making it happen!,” Tweeted the model and Project Runway judge excitedly after the event.
