Anna Chlumsky returned to the red carpet with a “risky” bang.

Less than two months after giving birth to daughter Clara Elizabeth, the 35-year-old Veep star arrived at the 2016 Emmy Awards in a daring lilac gown by Christian Siriano. The textured mini-dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline hit above her knees while its long cape skimmed the floor.

Chlumsky completed the awards show look with an up-swept ‘do, dangling earrings and pointed silver heels.

Designer Christian Siriano said they worked together to come up with her post-pregnancy sartorial debut.

“This was a collaboration,” he told PeopleStyle of the gown, one of nine looks he designed for the Emmys. “She really wanted something very vintage. She has a lot of vintage references, like old-school ’40s, ’50s dresses. And she wanted this very weird shape because she just had a baby. So she really, I think, didn’t want to show too much of her body, but still wanted to look cool.”

Kerry Washington and her baby bump have hit the Emmys red carpet!

The 39-year-old actress stunned on the 2016 Emmy Awards red carpet in a custom black, Brandon Maxwell cut-out bustier gown that perfectly flaunted her baby belly.

The strapless ensemble came equipped with a cut-out just above the belly and a long, cape-like addition stretching down to the floor.

Topping off the look, the expecting actress sported long, voluminous curls — a ‘do her stylist promised would be “something very special.”

“[Kerry’s hair] has to be something very special. Because she’s pregnant, it’s gonna have to be [a style] that will blow everyone away,” Washington’s longtime hairstylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew previously told PEOPLE.

For the expecting mom, red carpet preparation requires a sartorial confidence boost. “When you’re a pregnant lady on the red carpet, you need to feel like a superhero,” Washington told Extra.

Lukas Graham is ready to be a dad — in less than a month, in fact.

“It’s gonna be amazing,” the 27-year-old Danish singer, famous for his song “7 Years,” told PEOPLE at Sunday evening’s 2016 MTV VMAs — where his band was nominated for Best New Artist. “I’ll take the family on tour, and it’ll be easy.”

Graham also confirmed to PEOPLE that his baby on the way with longtime girlfriend Marie-Louise “Rillo” Schwartz Petersen is a girl.

“I agreed, though, with the missus that she does the singing [and] I do the reading,” he jokes of his plan to split parenting duties with Schwartz Petersen. “So that the [baby doesn’t] get confused [thinking] all parents are supposed to sing like that to their kids.”
