01/27/2016 at 04:15 PM ET

Angelina Jolie Pitt thought she had her kids under control — until about four years ago.

Swapping childrearing stories with her Kung Fu Panda 3 costar Jack Black, Jolie Pitt, 40, who is mom to Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 7, says, “You think the kids know nothing, and then you find out they’re like, ‘Oh yeah, seen it.’ That happened like four years ago.”

Black says while his kids — Samuel, 9, and Thomas, 7 — love the Kung Fu Panda movies, “They’re a little weirded out that I’m in them. They haven’t seen any of my movies except Kung Fu Panda. I don’t like to say, ‘Hey, you have to see School of Rock.’ ”

Since her children aren’t babies anymore, Angelina Jolie Pitt has to get her “baby fix” somewhere else: on set.

Jolie Pitt, 41, is currently in Cambodia where she’s filming her next movie First They Killed My Father, which has scenes that require hundreds of children.

“I’m surrounded by toys,” Jolie Pitt told PEOPLE from her production office in Southeast Asian country. “We have 250 children in a scene, so I filled the house, my car, my trailer with toys. It’s my ‘I love babies’ fix.”

First They Killed My Father is about the Khmer Rouge genocide. She says she’s worried “this is going to be the hardest movie” on her maternal side.

“They have to go through a labor camp,” Jolie Pitt says. “They have to cry and scream. My instinct is to want to cut and hug everyone.”

Angelina Jolie: Maddox Has a Girlfriend

05/29/2014 at 02:00 PM ET

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Jolie-Pitt brood. So imagine our glee when they all showed up for the premiere of Angelina Jolie‘s new film, Maleficent, Wednesday evening.

Held at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, the kid-friendly event was perfect for family date night.

To complement their parents’s dark attire, Maddox, 12½, Pax, 10, Shiloh, 8, and Knox, 5½, wore suit jackets and vests paired with trousers in hues of gray, khaki and navy. On the other hand, Zahara, 9, went for a more fun look — sporty gold and black tank, black velvet leggings, gold sneakers and face paint!.

The only person missing? Brad and Angelina‘s little girl Vivienne, 5½, who actually plays a young Aurora in the movie.

We thought we were excited when the Maleficent trailer was released.

But consider us ecstatic after finding out that Disney, Stella McCartney and Angelina Jolie (of course!) collaborated on a kids costume collection inspired by the film, which hits theaters on May 30.

Aptly named after the movie, it will include eight styles including sparkly princess dresses (we’re loving the purple number to the left), bow-adorned sandals, dragon-print tees and cool sneakers for boys and girls aged 4 to 14.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of Disney growing up, as was my mother, and I grew up watching all the films like most kids did,” McCartney told WWD.
