Olivia Wilde is having quite the year. Aside from a fruitful onscreen career, humanitarian work and parenting duties to 2-year-old son Otis Alexander, she’ll soon welcome her second child with fiancé Jason Sudeikis.

And though the expectant star certainly has her hands full, there’s one thing she doesn’t let fall to the wayside.

“I haven’t really had to sacrifice my makeup routine because I have a son,” Wilde, 32, tells PEOPLE about how motherhood has affected her beauty routine.

She adds, “As a woman who’s maintaining the balances of identity and also motherhood and my own independence, there’s something significant about being a really devoted mother, being a professional person and also saying, ‘I’m gonna take 10 minutes to do my makeup and put on some funky eyeliner and make myself feel sexy and beautiful because that’s for me.’ ”

06/28/2016 at 01:00 PM ET

When it came to planning Tia Mowry-Hardrict‘s son Cree‘s fifth birthday party on Saturday, the theme was a no-brainer.

“Cree is really into sharks,” Mowry-Hardrict tells PEOPLE exclusively. “He can tell you all kinds of sharks — hammerhead, reef. I wanted to have the theme tailored to him.”

The Mindy Weiss-planned fête was complete with an inflatable submarine, bubble play (“my sister [Tamera Mowry-Housley] and I loved that!”) and shark-bite décor (think flip-flops with jaw marks!).

Kevin Jonas is about to be surrounded by ladies: the singer’s second child with wife Danielle Jonas is a girl!

The couple, who are already parents to daughter Alena Rose, 2, revealed the sex of their new addition on social media Monday, after breaking the big news to family members with a punny game.

Using two bottles filled with M&Ms, Danielle, 29, and Kevin, 28, challenged their followers to “make a guess” on the little girl’s gender. One bottle had a label reading “nuts” and the other, “no nuts” – a cute play on the type of candy and their baby’s sex.

In video from the gender reveal gathering, family members also guessed whether the newest addition would have “nuts” or “no nuts.”

“I knew it!” one excited guest declared after the news was revealed.

The Cutest Backup Singers! Gwyneth Paltrow Films Apple and Moses Helping Out Dad Chris Martin on Stage at Glastonbury

06/27/2016 at 08:45 AM ET

Having a rock star for a dad does come with perks.

When Chris Martin and Coldplay headlined Glastonbury Festival this weekend, the father of two enlisted the help of daughter Apple, 12, and son Moses, 10, to provide some back-up vocals to the massive crowd.

The band paid tribute to British indie rock band Viola Beach after all four members — Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin — and their manager Craig Tarry plunged from a bridge and died in a tragic car accident in Sweden in February.

“We’re going to create Viola Beach’s alternate future for them, and let them headline Glastonbury for a song,” Martin announced.
