Introducing Dusty Rose Levine!

Her proud parents Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo shared the first photo of their newborn daughter on Instagram Friday evening.

The couple’s 3-day-old baby girl adorably rested on her father’s tattooed chest for some skin-to-skin contact.

“Words can’t describe Dusty Rose Levine 9/21/16,” Prinsloo, 27, captioned the black and white portrait. Levine posted the same photo on his account writing, “Dusty Rose Levine 9/21/16.”

The Maroon 5 frontman, 37, and the Victoria’s Secret Angel welcomed their first child on Wednesday in California, PEOPLE confirmed.

The Maroon 5 frontman, 37, and the Victoria’s Secret Angel welcomed their first child on Wednesday in California, his rep confirmed to PEOPLE.

PEOPLE learned the couple were expecting in March, with the sex of their baby revealed in April.

Though fans and followers are meeting Dusty Rose for the first time, the little Angel has already been introduced to her parents’ famous friends. Gwen Stefani revealed she and boyfriend Blake Shelton have been FaceTiming with Levine since Dusty Rose was born. “She’s so cute!” she said during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“I’m just happy for them,” Stefani, 46, told PEOPLE of Levine and Prinsloo. “I love Adam. I feel like he’s not going to believe what it’s like to have a baby and a child.” Stefani has already dished some advice to the new parents: she recommends they “just keep smelling that baby in the hospital!”

“That’s the greatest smell in the world, that new baby smell,” the mother of three shared with PEOPLE. “To me, that’s the greatest being in the hospital afterwards. So, they’re doing that right now and I’m so happy for them.”

Such a cutie, just like I said on Thursday that she was going to be a beautiful baby. Adam and Behati enjoy your precious bundle of joy.

They named they’re daughter Dusty?

Terrible name! on

Dusty? Lol, way to go! Will they name the next one dirty? Should have left it at rose.

i like the name dusty rose. reminds me of dusty springfield, avery good British singer.the baby is beautiful. im sure the new parents are over the moon. btw i think the babies name is better than Apple, or Blue Ivy thats for sure

She’s huge! What a beautiful and perfect little dumpling.

Congratulations to the new parents!

Nothing can prepare them for the overwhelming joy that awaits them.

Beautiful little darling. Now they get to understand the phrase “not until I became a parent, did I understand how much my parents love me”. Having children is the most humbling, incredible thing. I wish them all a long lifetime of joy.

Melanie on

I would love my baby too much to give her a stripper name.

Why do celebs feel they have to give their kids stage names, instead of just proper names. Dusty isn’t a name. It’s what your MIL says about your furniture when she comes over for an unexpected visit…. SMH!

She’s a cute chunky baby. I don’t like her name or his tattoos, but I’m sure they don’t care about my opinion. Congratulations to them on their new arrival.

I like the color “Dusty Rose”.

Shelby on

I’m sorry but it Kinda sounds like a stripper name

Dusty Rose is adorable! Love her name! It conjures up a beautiful color!
Best of luck!

Dusty Rose, although pretty sounding- it reminds me of the Dusty Rose color of the 80’s- that awful mauve color everyone had in their bathrooms! Sorry.

Cute, but hopefully they transition to calling her “rose” because Dusty is just an awful name. Will they call her “dust” for short? To each their own I guess.

In a world where every 3rd girl has a name rhyming with Sophia and goofy, grammatical wonders like Myrycle, Emyliah, Maysyn (to match and Brayden, Jayden, Hayden, Aidyn and Ethyn?) it’s amazing people hate Dusty.
If you think that is a stripper name then wait till you meet the next little Kaydynce Skarlytt or ArabellaRose Isabellah.
Congrats to them. She’s adorable!

Beautiful child! Congrats to them!

That’s a very clever name. A play on the popular name Rose.

Congratulations to them both! She’s beautiful and i love her name! What a wonderful journey you have ahead of you! 👶

Not Really on

FYI . . . Dusty has always been a boy’s name when I was growing up – didn’t even think of it being a stripper or equivalent to ‘dirty’ as some here have mentioned – just a boy’s name to me!

But…WHAT ABOUT ANGELINA AND BRAD? How will we go on without our 15 minute update? Where is my Xanax…

It’s their baby and they can, and did, name her whatever they choose. It’s better than most celebrity baby names: Inspector Pilot, Zuma, Apollo, King Cairo, North!
I just hope when their daughter is a woman she doesn’t get treated like her daddy did most of the woman he dated. Boom!

Dusty Levine sounds like an illegal sex act.

Beautiful baby but oh the teasing possibilities with that name…busty hoes, crusty toes, and dusty or dirty anything you can think of. Don’t parents think of these things when choosing a name? Love Adam and Behati, but they just saddled their child with a name she won’t thank them for.

sweetpea on

hopefully they will call her just “sweet rose” how about that?

the name is important, but come on people, its their choice. SO JUDGMENTAL

What a sweet picture! Dusty Rose looks very happy resting on her dads chest. Enjoy your new bundle of joy! Congratulations Adam and Behati!

If we’re really lucky, Adam will decide to become a stay-at-home dad and we’ll never have to see or hear him again.

Remember this day and the blessing you are given always. Beautiful. Best wishes!

What a great idea for a name, Dusty. And Dusty Rose sounds just great. I love new ideas and combinations. Yet, it’s not too weird. Congrats to the happy family.

Jess on

It reminds me of the late wrestler Dusty Rhodes. Being a huge wrestling fan I got a kick out of it.
