“Baskett” has never been a more fitting name for Kendra Wilkinson.

On Sunday, the former Girls Next Door cast member attended — and participated in! —  the 2nd Annual Aces In Action Charity Celebrity Basketball Game, in partnership with the Los Angeles Sparks, at Staples Center.

The Kendra on Top star’s partner in crime for the evening? Her 6½-year-old son, Hank IV.

“My date for the night,” Wilkinson, 31, captioned a courtside snap of the pair, adding a smiley-face emoji.

Over 10,000 event tickets were sold to the “#BallForACause” event, whose proceeds went to cancer research via Stand Up To Cancer. Over two dozen celebrities participated in the event, including Wilkinson and new mom of two Jenn Brown.

Wilkinson — who also shares 2-year-old daughter Alijah Mary with husband and Kendra on Top costar Hank Baskett — made an impressive 3-point shot during the game, helping her team come super close to winning (the final score was 66-65).

The reality star and author spoke to her son about the event in the green room. She explained why she was participating, about cancer and on the importance of helping those affected.

The mom of two values closeness with her children, as she has spoken recently about how little Hank still sleeps in the same bed with her and her husband.

“It’s so sweet: We wake up holding each other’s hands,” she told PEOPLE in May of her only son. “I can’t let that go. He’s so special to me.”

She has such beautiful children. I’m glad she and Hank made the marriage work. Marriage isn’t easy, and it’s refreshing to know that some couples still take their vows seriously. Wishing them the best.

She might want to rethink Hank IV continuing to sleep with them at his age. I have a relative whose parents couldn’t let go of their son sleeping with them, and when he was grown, he said it went on way too long, and though his parents did it to be nurturing, he says they should have stopped by the time he was 3 or 4 at the latest, and that it created issues of immaturity, and appropriate independence. I know there are people who encourage the “family bed”, but it really needs to be remembered that your responsibility as a parent is to help them grow up to be able to function without you as they face life on their own, so parents need to think it is not all about themselves…it is about the child and what to goals should be where they are concerned. Hank IV is such a handsome boy; glad they worked on their marriage out not only for themselves, but for their children. 3 point shot?? She’s a good shot!
