Thinking Pink! Inside Lacey Chabert’s Chic and Sweet Baby Shower

07/27/2016 at 02:30 PM ET

On Sundays, they wear pink!

Mom-to-be Lacey Chabert was the guest of honor at a baby shower hosted by Good Carma Studio on Sunday, July 17. The event, which was held at Ocean Prime Beverly Hills, channeled the same blush-and-cream theme Chabert’s soon-to-arrive daughter will enjoy throughout her nursery.

Among the shower’s attendees were Chabert’s friends, including fellow moms Beverly Mitchell, Amy Davidson, Ali Fedotowsky, Haylie Duff and expectant Willa Ford.

“I was overwhelmed with joy to have been surrounded by so much love at my shower,” Chabert, 33, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “When I look around at my group of friends, I realize how blessed I am to have such wonderful people in my life to support me as I become a mother.

My daughter is fortunate to have these individuals influence her life as well,” the Party of Five alum adds.

The actress, who is still known for her hilarious turn as Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls, really committed to the pink influence throughout the party.

Although Chabert herself stood out by donning a purple dress that showcased her bump, everything from the stationery, to the décor, to the floral arrangements by The Bashful Rose and the desserts were influenced by the feminine blush hue.

Although the actress’s sweets table didn’t include Toaster Strudels, guests were treated to caramel apples, Rice Krispies Treats, mini naked cakes and much more by Polkatots — the center of the spread being a pull-apart cupcake creation in the shape of a pretty pink bow.

Michaels craft tables were set up around the space for guests to create memorable items for Chabert’s little girl, who will be the first child for the actress and her husband Dave Nehdar.

Among the creative-outlet options? Writing wishes for her daughter and hanging them on a wishing tree, decorating scrapbook pages in the shape of onesies and an area where Chabert’s friends could take mini Polaroids to document the day.

And of course, the expectant mom‘s friends didn’t go home without a few goodies. As the shower was ending, guests were gifted with party favors provided by LaCroix sparkling water, Mabel’s Labels, USANA My Smart shakes, Nine Naturals, Pixi Beauty and Emma J.

“The shower was such a fun day filled with lots of laughs, love and an overabundance of cake! What could be better than that?” Chabert says. “It’s a day I’ll always remember.”

While the shower likely ensured Chabert has everything she needs for her baby girl, the love and support of her fellow moms and moms-to-be seems to be what she cherishes and appreciates even more dearly.

“It’s really nice to go through pregnancy with friends because your body is just changing in so many ways and so many things are happening that cause concern,” she told PEOPLE in April. “To be able to turn to my friends and ask for advice has been really, really nice.”

Love Lacey and many of the women here, but a sponsored baby shower? How about bring gifts to donate to those less fortunate. Wow!

HOLY she is ready to POP!!!! Congrats cant wait to hear the announcement!

That’s really tacky that she had a table set up for guests to pre-make the thank you envelopes.

Very happy for her. Congrats.

All this for a baby shower? Just enough. I blame Pinterest.

Sorry but a sponsored baby shower for a wealthy family is ridiculous. How about sponsored showers for moms-to-be who are in shelters? They could use the free stuff.

Seriously who has that many “friends”? Delusional girl thinks these ppl would still be her friend if she was a broke nobody.

First of all I adore Lacey, have since I first watched her on party of five. And maybe it’s because I’m from Denmark where baby showers aren’t that common, at least not for non-celebs, that is. Lacey deserves to have a beautiful baby shower, but saying yes to having one sponsored, so you can party in return for doing a magazine spread in order to advertise the company planning the party is a bit weird to me. Though it is a beautiful shower, to me it seems a bit superficial, turning your baby shower into a business deal. I’m thinking that if someone do want a sponsored baby shower, an idea could be to get together a whole group of mommies to be, who do not have the means to have a baby shower, and have a big party for all of them with sponsored gifts for them all. And then do magazine spread with all the mommies to be at the party.

I don’t know who she was, lovely pictures though.

I truly understand about well to do people and baby showers, when there are so many out there that can’t afford diapers, let alone a baby shower, I myself can’t afford to go to a shower, but I also see the delight for a first time mom to be showered by her friends on such a blessed occasion. but yes I do believe it would have been wonderful if the guests brought a small gift for the new baby and a gift to be donated to an under privileged new mom for her baby. And this isn’t because it is Lacy’s shower, I just adore her…. but those well to do celeb moms who have 1, 2, 3, baby showers, a shower each time she has a new baby, I believe the baby shower etiquette is to have a shower for the first baby and the items get handed down. sorry to have gone on ….everyone have a blessed day

I’ve read a lot of the comments here about her have a Baby Shower and most of them are negative and I don’t understand why. I’m from the South and here your friends, family, or coworkers give you the Baby Shower you don’t have any control of over it. It’s like a surprise party and sometimes you have more then one. This is something done by the poor and rich.

Lacey, you look gorgeous and you are glowing, looks like it was a wonderful day. A grand adventure is about to begin! ❤ Enjoy every moment when she gets here because it flies by FAST (My oldest is about to turn 6 and I feel like I JUST had her yesterday. I was laying in bed with her yesterday and amazed by how tall and grown up she is now). Ignore all of the negative posts about your special day being sponsored and over the top. Looks like it was a beautiful shower. You deserved a day of celebration for you and your upcoming Princess, with NO judgment. Sheesh, some people pick apart everything. You have worked hard, from a young age, to get to where you are today. Enjoy it! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Also…someone mentioned that its tacky to have guests fill in their addresses and have an area set up with envelopes? I don’t see how that is tacky at all. I think its a SMART idea so she can easily & quickly send thank you cards to her guests especially considering she is about to be VERY busy. Almost every shower I have gone to in the past few years (including my own) has done this. It takes like 2 seconds to put your address on an envelope. Why is everyone so judgy? No need to make a big deal about everything or label it as tacky. The world needs more positivity! ❤ ❤ ❤ 🙂 🙂 🙂 Just be happy for this Mom to be instead of picking apart every detail of her special day.
