Carrie Underwood is quite the doting mother.

The singer counted her blessings in a Wednesday Instagram post featuring her adorable 17-month-old son Isaiah Michael.

“He soaks in the sunshine…and I realize that he is mine… I don’t deserve such sweetness! #blessed #momlife,” she captioned the photo.

Underwood, 33, welcomed her first child with husband Mike Fisher in February of last year, and has been open about her journey into motherhood, telling PEOPLE last October that she wants to raise her son to “have a loving heart toward people who are different.”

“Mike and I talk about teaching him how to approach everybody in a loving way, even if they’re not the same, and to try to say, ‘You know what? God loves them, so it should be my job to my best to love them as well,'” Underwood added.

The country star didn’t just share her hopes for her son, she dished up some maternal realness, revealing that she struggles with mom guilt just like every other parent when they welcome a new baby.

“You feel guilty about every single thing, every decision you make, everything you do,” Underwood said.

He’s cute. I’ve always liked Carrie and I’m not even a country music fan.

Love Carrie and her and Mike’s beliefs on what’s important for their family, their children. Beautiful little boy!

You just know he’s going to grow up being such a good guy! These parents are down to earth and do not let their popularity get to their heads and effect their personal lives. More should be like them. Unfortunately there are some parents just using their kids for more media attention and it’s really sad! Thank goodness for those kids’ nannies.

He’s a love! All the best to her. She seems like a sweet person.

Really, you don’t deserve such sweetness. That’s funny coming from such a devote Christian. I’m no Christian but you know what, MY GOD knows I AM DESERVING of ALL the SWEETNESS he has to offer. Shame she thinks so little of herself and her God whom she must believe isn’t ALL GIVING! THIS is what I have against modern day Christianity!

CJ, relax. You are also part of the problem of “modern Christianity”, being so JUDGMENTAL. I thought her comment was very HUMBLE. I too as a Christian parent look at my children and wonder how I could be worthy of such pure love. I just pray that I am bringing up good, God fearing, loving people into this world.

Agree with Margarita, CJ YOU are what is wrong with modern day Christianity. The woman can’t say one very common phrase without being judged for it. Did she say she didn’t think God could give her that sweetness? Also, are you not a sinner? We aren’t deserving of the many blessings He gives and yet He gives them anyways but we are not entitled to them.
