T.I. is a proud dad indeed!

Heiress Diana was born to the rapper and wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris on March 26. And at Alice Tully Hall for History’s debut of Roots on Monday, he raved about his new daughter.

“An enormous blessing,” T.I., 35, told PEOPLE of experiencing his seventh bundle of joy. “She’s a sweetheart. She’s beautiful.”

Though Heiress is the newest addition to the Harris family, T.I. and former Xscape singer Tiny, 40, are also parents to two sons: Clifford “King” Joseph Harris III, 11, and Major Philant Harris, 8.

“My newest Blessing! Heiress & her daddy,” Tiny wrote alongside a sweet Instagram photo of her husband and new daughter shortly after her birth.

T.I. is also dad to sons Messiah Ya’Majesty, 16, and Domani Uriah, 15, as well as a daughter named Deyjah Imani, 14, from previous relationships. Tiny also has one daughter from a previous relationship, 20-year-old Zonnique Jailee.

T.I. and Tiny spoke to PEOPLE in January about how Heiress’ impending arrival would shift the household dynamic.

“It’s going to add to a house of madness,” said Tiny, who has also opened up in the past about giving birth to a stillborn daughter, Leyah Amore, in 2007. “A new baby is something we haven’t had in seven years — it’s going to be a little chaotic.”

Speaking of his role as Cyrus in Roots as the “most important in his career,” the musician and actor explained on Monday, “It came with a tremendous amount of responsibility. I’m extremely honored, humbled.”

He also indicated that he’d initially almost turned down the role in the miniseries.

“[Roots executive producer] Will Packer, my friend and buddy in the business, refused to take no for an answer,” he elaborates. “He continued to send me material … he sent me the character arc, and I couldn’t turn it down.”

Roots, which also stars Forest Whitaker, Anika Noni Rose, Malachi Kirby and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, premieres May 30 on History and will run for four nights.

Ok, they just have to stop now. They’ve got 8 kids between them from present and previous relationships.

The names of his children! Imagine being ‘Judge’ Messiah Ya’Majesty or ‘Head Mistress’ Heiress Harris? I hope those names aren’t too difficult to grow up with – they certainly are creative!
