Thompson Square’s New Video Stars Son Cooper: Check Out the Adorable First Look
He’s just 4 months old, but Rigney Cooper Thompson is already a star!
Thompson Square‘s Keifer and Shawna Thompson didn’t need to look far for inspiration for “You Make It Look So Good,” premiering exclusively on PEOPLE.com. The single’s video features adorable home footage of Cooper and his parents, giving an inside look into the family’s home life.
“We have always enjoyed doing things ourselves and it always seems to work out better when we do,” the country duo tell PEOPLE. “We just sat down with some of our videos and iMovie and got it done. This song and every other song seems to have new meaning with Cooper being here. It just makes sense.”
Shawna, 38, and Keifer, 40, are adjusting well to parenthood, though they admit it was nerve-racking at first.
“It was the scariest thing we have ever experienced during the first three weeks,” the couple, who were married 17 years before welcoming their son in January, says. “We were like ‘I can’t believe that they let us take him home. We have no idea what we’re doing.’ After the sleep-deprived-almost-killing-each-other phase was over and we realized that he was probably going to be okay and it wasn’t an impossible feat, we starting enjoying our new life.”

The Thompsons absolutely adore their son, who is “the center of their universe.”
“He’s such a healthy and happy baby and that’s such a blessing. We love being parents and can’t stand to be away from him,” they tell PEOPLE. “We can’t imagine not having him.”
Now that the band is back on tour, Cooper always joins his parents on the road.
“Once we started touring again it was another adjustment, but we have a great long-time friend as his nanny and they absolutely love each other. That makes it okay knowing he’s in great hands when we’re on stage,” the couple explains. “We have a pack ‘n play in his own bunk. It’s already really different, but all in all it’s been a pretty easy adjustment.”
“You Make It Look So Good” is available everywhere Friday.
