Lena Headey Had an Awkward Encounter with a Game of Thrones Fan — While She Was Breastfeeding!

Game of Thrones fans’ love for the show knows no bounds — as Lena Headey was recently forced to find out.

While appearing on the Late Late Show, the actress told host James Corden about a particularly GoT-obsessed nurse who assisted her after she gave birth to her second child, daughter Teddy, last July.

Headey described how the nurse, who had already confessed that she was a “really big fan” of the hit HBO series (which returns for season six this month), helped her start the process of breastfeeding her baby girl.

“In the early stages of breastfeeding, you have to kind of get the milk in, that takes a bit of ‘hand milking’ of sorts,” Headey, 42, explained. “So my fella was trying to do it and the nurse said to me, ‘I think we should swap,’ and I went, ‘Yeah,’ ’cause I was about to punch him ’cause it was like milking a goat.”

The nurse’s lactation consulting soon took a turn for the bizarre.

“She came around and sat next to me and squeezed my nipple and went, ‘Shame,’ ” Headey said, referencing her infamous “walk of shame” scene in the finale of the fifth season of Game of Thrones.

“She was holding my nipple so I couldn’t really — and then she said it again and then I saw her go, ‘I’m sorry!’ She was like, ‘I can’t believe I said that!’ ”

We have a feeling Cersei Lannister wouldn’t have been so quick to laugh this off.

Good grief. If professionals can’t act, well, professional they need to leave their jobs. You can be a “fan” and not put the object of your intense fandom in such an uncomfortable position. That’s just rude.

WTF! That nurse is crazy!

I’m in agreement with both folks who posted before me. Luckily I guess Lena Headley didn’ t happen to mention it at the time, because as far as I’m concerned, that’d be a fireable offense.

That is awful, as a nurse, I am ashamed for that nurse. If she couldn’t can’t control herself she shouldn’t be in the profession.

That nurse is crazy and she is not professional enough to be in the profession.
