DeGeneres congratulated Boss on having a “gorgeous baby,” but the new dad happily gave his wife all the credit. “Allison cooked him up well!” he said.
Boss also talked about Maddox’s full head of hair, and said he’s already in awe of everything he does.
“He has a big, full head of hair, absolutely,” he said. “We don’t know which way it lies just yet, so that’s going to be interesting, but I’m just so proud of him, every little thing he does — from hiccupping to sneezing to waking up from his sleep. Everything is just amazing.”

He also admitted to DeGeneres that he sometimes can’t take his eyes off of his beautiful baby boy.
“If he has memories of now, it will be me just staring at him when he’s sleeping,” said Boss. “Because he’s just so beautiful. He really is.”
Boss also explained the origin of Maddox’s middle name Laurel — it’s his middle name too, and despite the spelling, it’s actually pronounced Luh-rel.
“It’s spelled like [Laurel] but it’s Luh-rel,” he said. “My mom was feeling creative I guess!”
