Hannah Storm admits raising teenagers can be difficult.

“When she’s a teenager it’s going to be just like this,” Storm joked with new mom Coco Austin in PEOPLE’s Mom Talk series after Austin, who welcomed 4-month-old daughter Chanel in November, reveals she hasn’t “had a true breaking point yet … because it’s so new.”

Says Storm: “I think, honestly, when they’re teenagers I think it gets to be really hard because there’s a day where you do hear, ‘I hate you.’ ”

“And then at the end of the day it’s like, ‘Wow. I’m really sorry I was like that,’ ” the ESPN SportsCenter host, who has three daughters, explains.

Hearing those words, Storm, 53, admits it’s “kind of heartbreaking,” but you also “get really pissed off at the same time.”

“So you’re really upset and you’re mad,” she says.

I’ve raised 3 daughters through the teen years and they never told me they hated me. So there. They know where their bread is buttered.

Raised two kids, now in their 20s. Have yet to have either of them tell me they hate me.

I’ve raised two daughters, and teenage years can be rough! My eldest daughter was easy and very respectful, but our youngest daughter…whoa Nellie! That was not a fun time..if you want to be honest, our kids can piss us off, and give us heartbreak and joy att at the same might think your kids don’t bad mouth you, because they may not have verbalized it to your face..but trust me, everyone has that one kid, you just know hates you from time to time.
Thank God, as the kids mature and grow, things settle down, and a friendship emerges.. That’s part of parenting.
Now my girls are grown and married, with children of their own, and it’s been rewarding forming such strong bonds with my girls.

I raised a son and a daughter, and neither of them ever told me they hated me. Then again, I raised them to be respectful, kind, loving, and on the rare occasion when it was needed disciplined them.
