Sutton Foster Reveals Children Are ‘Definitely on the Table’
“I got married a year and a half ago, and that’s definitely on the table,” the actress says.
“I just turned 41 so it’s almost like the opposite of my character. I’ve really focused on career most of my life and so now I’m transitioning into where my priorities and my ambitions are more personal.”
Foster made similar statements last month, telling PEOPLE in February that she and her husband Ted Griffin are talking about starting a family.
“I’m happier now. I feel much more comfortable in my skin, my mindset,” she said at the time, adding with a laugh: “I’ve marinated well: I’m a better quality now than I was.”
In Younger, Foster plays 40-year-old Liza Miller, who pretends to be in her 20s in an effort to revive her professional life after divorce.
Even though she’s in her 40s, Foster says she never thought about ageism in Hollywood until she joined the show.
“I’ve never really felt worried about it. I’m excited about navigating that part of my career,” she says.
“I hope to grow older gracefully and naturally and I have no desire to … hold on to all the roles I played when I was 20. I’m excited about what’s to come.”
Recently, Foster took to Instagram, posting a throwback photo of herself as a twenty-something.
“Really 26. Julien and I during Thoroughly Modern Millie. The beginning of a beautiful friendship,” she captioned the snap of herself and a friend.
