Because calculus was too easy.

Proud papa Mark Zuckerberg shared a Facebook photo of himself and wife Dr. Priscilla Chan reading a quantum physics children’s book to their 2-week-old daughter Maxima.

“My next book for A Year of Books is Quantum Physics for Babies!” Zuckerberg, 31, captioned the photo, referring to his online book club. “Just kidding. It’s actually World Order by Henry Kissinger.”

He continues: “This is important for creating the world we all want for our children, and that’s what I’m thinking about these days. I am loving reading to Max. Next year looks like it’s going to be A Year of Children’s books!”

Zuckerberg and Chan recently welcomed their first child, and the Facebook founder wasted no time showing off his little girl.

He uploaded a sweet father-daughter photo to social media, showing himself gazing at his baby girl with his arm around her.

“Full of joy with little Max,” he captioned the cute candid.

I read educational books and classic literature from day 1 as well. It inspired me and this became my profession. The way I see it, learning is part of every day life and amazingly babies are born ready to absorb and connect all the neural bridges with the information they receive to continue thriving within the first 3 years. It’s a natural learning system. Pre-K is actually late start considering babies are born with the innate ability to calculate mass quantities of numbers by simply looking at it. All they are missing are the verbal skills to communicate what they naturally understand. That is why reading aloud with our children is so important every chance you get no matter how young or old. When they begin to speak, it will amaze you everything they retained and how comfortable they are with arithmetic.

Very sweet! And, for all the critics–looks like yesterday’s “floor” is actually their sofa. 😉

But what if she’s a humanities geek and would rather he read The Iliad?

I remember being told that reading- out loud- very complex books and concepts would really help the developing brain of the fetus! I felt like- heck it can’t hurt! I did- and my kids are pretty smart- especially in math- something both of us did not excel at!

MZ is in the “New Daddy” faze. That will pass. However, we don’t need to see this anyway. And seriously, it’s kind of stupid anyway, i.e., reading this to his newborn daughter. I always thought MZ was a dork. One with money, but a dork nonetheless. Enough of this nonsense and photos. His kid is like everyone else’s but again, he’s in the “New Daddy” faze, and besotted by what he created.

Reading Physics books? Their daughter will be in Physics someday!
