See Coco Austin’s Post-Baby Body Before-and-After Welcoming Daughter Chanel

12/07/2015 at 07:56 PM ET

Coco Austin is showing off her post-baby body just one week after giving birth to daughter Chanel Nicole.

In her latest Instagram post, the first-time mom compared her pregnancy figure at 36 weeks to her now slimmed down physique, even revealing her current weight.

“1 week post baby.. the left was me at 36 weeks (I had Chanel at 37 weeks) I was basically in shape before I got pregnant,” the wife of rapper/actor Ice-T wrote.

“I lost 10 pounds before I even started to gain baby weight probably because 1- I stopped drinking alcohol. 2 – I stopped weight lifting and lost a lot of muscle and 3- I ate really healthy and took my vitamins everyday.”

Austin told her 1.6m followers she had gained 13 pounds over the course of her pregnancy and that she is already back to her pre-baby weight of 137 pounds.

“All this is strange to me too, how my body took so well with pregnancy because I was mentally prepared to blow up like a whale,” she continued. “I was totally cool with it I really could have cared less how my body looked it didn’t matter to me… I had the heavens really watching over me and know everyday how blessed I am.”

Adding, “I hope to bring inspiration.”

Recently, the adorable newborn posed in her first-ever photo shoot modeling a variety of tiny and too-cute headbands. Baby Chanel was joined by her mother, who posed topless for photographer Jessie Marrero.

1 week post baby ..the left was me at 36 weeks ( I had Chanel at 37 weeks) I was basically in shape before I got pregnant but during pregnancy I stopped my workout regimen at 4 months preggers and pretty much became a fruitarian after that lol..No not really, I ate other foods of course but craved fruit. I lost 10 pounds before I even started to gain baby weight probably because 1- I stopped drinking alcohol. 2 – I stopped weight lifting and lost a lot of muscle and 3- I ate really healthy and took my vitamins everyday.(I'm gonna post my whole routine soon on my baby blog www.thecocoblog.com) I gained 13 pounds my whole pregnancy and now I way almost back to norm at 137 pounds. All this is strange to me too, how my body took so well with pregnancy because I was mentally prepared to blow up like a whale and I was totally cool with it I really could have cared less how my body looked it didn't matter to me..I couldn't wait to get a bump and rock it! ..I would've gone through anything to make a healthy baby ..I had the heavens really watching over me and know everyday how blessed I am.. I believe anybody could too go through a wonderful experience and thats why I made a baby blog so people could know the steps I took..I hope to bring inspiration

Women like her Ugh. ha. A friend of mine was in a bikini a week before birth (basketball shape) and three weeks after looking flat as a pancake and toned. I hate her for that. Sweetest person alive so I forgive her for her one “fault.”.

How insecure is this woman?

facelessbandit on

13lbs??? That’s half the amount you should gain.

Sara on

She was in fabulous shape to start with so I am not surprised she went back to normal .. Congrats to her

nanny on

Good for you! Althought drs recommend 30-35 lvs if youre normal weight.

-jealous woman who has gained 11 lbs and still in my first trimester

Jane on

It’s not inspiration, it’s bragging.

she is full of it on

And if anyone believe this BS, I have a bridge to sell you. She’s been in the news daily since this baby was born, what mother after giving birth takes this many pictures of her body and has time to post pics constantly. Only someone who did not give birth physically does. Most woman who ACTUALLY give birth, the last thing they want is to be taking constant pictures.

Tammy on

Give me a break! I was bigger than her when I was 10 minutes pregnant. How hard can it be to get back to pre-pregnancy weight when you were that small at full term?

Breelee on

She just proved that if you don’t stuff yourself with everything and anything, you don’t need to gain 30 lbs!! Ladies, please stop having the mentality that you are eating for two! We eat enough as Americans that it is plenty for a baby!! Nice job Coco!

Jacqueline on

I gained 20 lbs with my first born and only 15lbs with my second born. My first born was 7lbs and my second born was 8lbs. lol It doesnt matter if you gain a whole lot, as long as it is going in the right place. Everyones body is different.

guest on

Forget what she looks like! That Chanel is so precious..

I was in my pre pregancy clothes one week after I had my fourth child. Same with my daughter who just had her third child. Not unusual.

can’t imagine why anyone would stop weight lifting during pregnancy.

anyway, those fingernails are very dangerous to have around ANY CHILD, let alone a newborn.

the headline says “post-baby body” before and after birth, hahahah! You can’t be “post” before

You’re grown women, stop being mean girls. She was in amazing shape when she got pregnant, she ate smart and still worked out during her pregnancy, and gave birth 3 weeks early. Cut her a break. We aren’t all the same.

You know, we should be supportive of our fellow woman. She’s not out attacking anyone. She runs a pregnancy website, along with her other website.

Be kind, y’all. Golden rule – please.

Take off all your makeup; why ruin such a pretty face?

I just gave birth to my first the day after Thanksgiving. I didn’t gain any weight while pregnant, I was actually down 6lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. Partly due to being sick in the first trimester, but mostly due to eating healthy and drinking only water. My doctor said that it was perfectly fine not to gain weight as long as baby was getting all the nutrition she needed. She came out a very healthy 7lbs 4oz.

I like her, I really do. That being said, I just really wish these types of posts were not around. Every single person is different. Its not “lucky” to gain a few pounds, its not unlucky to gain 55 pounds. To be in this rat race (that what it seems like) to one up each other with a post baby body is becoming sickening. I gained a lot of weight for my frame, I also lost it in 6 weeks as nature intended it for ME. I didn’t diet. I just let my body do what it was made to do. I’m sure Coco has done the same. So to be jealous of how someone looks post baby because they hardly gained pregnancy weight is just insane. Lets get off the weight & numbers wagon & just celebrate children & women all over who are moms & those who are waiting to be moms.

Avie on

My mother went home in her pre-pregnancy clothes from the hospital. She didn’t show until 7 months. Each woman is different. Just because a woman doesn’t use the time to eat herself stupid, it is possible.

Robyn on

I only gained 15 pounds with my son. He weighed 8pounds 2 oz. And was 22 inches long. Brava to her, she ate healthy, worked out etc. She’s proud and happy. Let her be that way. I’d MUCH rather hear about her then Kim Trashian.

MzDimplez on

This is all so true. I’ve had four pregnancies and was back to my 120 lbs after my fourth. Before my pregnancies I ate healthy and stayed active. During my pregnancies, I continued to eat healthy, take my vitamins, breastfeed my babies and stayed very active including lots and lots of walking. True, I was not worried about taking millions of pics of myself but social media was not out in the 90’s. My first and last thoughts were my babies, granted I took millions of pictures of them and didn’t notice I lost the baby weight until family members were asking me how did I do it and I still was thinking of my babies first thing in the morning and they were my last thoughts at night but social media has changed these people and granted shes trying to get a check from someone to false advertise their products. Ice-T will need to work until he takes his last breath because this will be one long expensive 18 years of his life.

PLEASE focus on the baby and not your body.

My sister-in-law looked like she hadn’t given birth at all a week after the birth of both her children. Her tummy was as flat as ever. My mom walked out of the hospital after giving birth to me wearing her regular clothes (that was back when you spent 5 days in the hospital for a birth). I have a friend who has had 7 children and does not have one single stretch mark. I’m convinced it is basically genetics (plus exercise and a good diet). Notice I didn’t mention me, I’m still trying to lose baby weight and my youngest is 16.

Hatersgonnahate on

Good for her! I’m 36 weeks and have gained 2 lbs so far. I gained 17 with my first. I had horrible morning sickness. Some people’s bodies just handle pregnancy differently. I think she looks fabulous. All you haters saying she gained “half of what she should have:” I was concerned but my DOCTOR reassured me that as long as baby is growing on track, that’s all that matters. People rip in Kim Kardashian for gaining too much, and Coco for “not gaining enough.” Amazing how people can be so spiteful while sitting behind a computer screen. She’s a new, obviously proud Mom. Seeing her journey is MUCH more positive than all the other garbage going on in the news! Lighten up!

Who cares? Who is she anyway. New moms should focus on healing, spending time with baby and on both baby and their own health and happiness. This D lister is just trying to milk her 5 minutes of fame, and people is giving it to her! Utter BS!

When I gave birth to my first baby a couple weeks ago I was down 4lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. Partly due to morning sickness in the first trimester, but mostly from eating healthy and drinking only water. My doctor wasn’t worried about it at all because my baby was still getting all the nutrition she needed. She was born a very healthy 7lbs 4ozs. Every womans body is different. I would think that women would know that we all come in different shapes and our bodies change differently during pregnancy. No woman with common sense should assume she wasn’t healthy because she didn’t gain much or that she faked her pregnancy.

Alana on

I gained 2 pds with my second child. The doctor said it was totally normal for ME. Every person is different. There is no one way to be pregnant. Leave this woman alone. Let her be proud of her body. Not every woman needs to turn in to a fat slob just because she is pregnant. You only really need an extra 500 calories during pregnancy. Haters are going to hate, oh well, she is happy while all you sad, sad folks are just jealous 🙂

tolo on

She looks lovely it is that it is so important to her that is the issue. My Mom had six kids and never gained much weight and was thin pretty quickly, but she did not announce it or throw it out to women whom for whatever reason had a different pregnancy and post pregnancy experience. Do you need to get huge when prego no, do you need to be tiny right after no. The old rule used to be 9 months of being pregnant and a year to recover.

how insecure are YOU ……… really

Klkeene03@yahoo.com on

Wow! Good for her. Everyone’s body is different, ladies.
I gained 20 with each child and it came
Off pretty quick afterwards. I didn’t find that being pregnant made my eating mentality switch just because I was carrying a baby. I don’t think she’s bragging. She’s just proud of herself! Anyone could do it if they wanted to and had the will to. Way to go, Coco!!

Tessa on

I don’t care what anyone says, I love Coco. I used to love her and Ice’s TV show and thought she was just the sweetest person. I think the “ditzy blond” persona is partly for show and partly just who she is. She always came across to me as a caretaker who took care of her husband and cared about other people. I’m happy for her and her baby is beautiful. And she didn’t gain much weight, so what. Some people don’t. It’s not “luck”, it’s part genetics and part just being mindful of your health. Everyone is different and clearly she was under the care of a doctor throughout her pregnancy, it’s their job to worry about it, not anyone else’s!

This magazine website has become a dumping ground for B*ll S**T! As a middle aged woman, I find it disgusting that the writers of this nonsense beleive this is what we find entertaining. I’m done with PEOPLE!

Nek on

In all fairness, the guest that stated ‘how insecure is this woman?” has a point. She does seem insecure. Maybe the constant posting of pics on social media or the fact that she dresses like a whore to showcase her fake boobs and butt.

On another note, so she gained 13 lbs which is great. It shows that women shouldn’t feel the need to gain fricken 50 lbs when they are pregnant. It’s all about eating healthy and doing what’s right for the baby.

Jill C on

Cpngratulations……yet another celebrity flaunting their ridiculously thin post baby body in an attempt to make all the new mothers out there feel like utter crap.

Awwshucks on

Love you Coco. Baby Chanel is precious. But sweetheart please be mindful of your spelling…”way” is spelled “weigh.” I know your hormones be off-kilter right now but keep it real by using spellcheck. Congrats!

My former S-I-L gained 13 pounds with her pregnancies, she puked for 9 months. Her babies were all healthy. I gained 22 pounds, gave birth and left hospital 5 hours later and 19.5 pounds lighter. All women are different, if you exercise and eat right this is possible. Stop shaming her for choosing to take care of herself and growing baby by doing right instead of using it as an excuse to pig out and let yourself go.

Vanessa on

My sister in law was the same way. She had four kids and each time she was back to her pre pregnancy weight within a week. Me not so lucky🙁 My youngest is nine and I’m still holding on to that last ten pounds Lol!!

andrea on

Totally sucking in her gut. Lol

Gee whiz on

This woman sounds like a 14 year old.
“I was totally ready”… and “preggers”??
What an idiot.
Gaining 13 pounds during a pregnancy is not healthy, but I guess she totally didn’t know that.

We had been married for a while and things were OK, I was in love with her, she was crazy about me, but later on everything changed and by complicated exterior circumstances which did not have to do with us, we decided to pause for a while, but still remain friends. But in the end, she started getting cold: she treated me as if she did not know me, she acted too immature to the point where she did not even say hi to me when we bumped into each other (we had the same circle of friends). Of course, it hurt so badly, I wanted to kill her. Then out of nowhere she disappeared. I wrote her for her birthday and she replied little. Some of my “friends” saw she had left and started going cold with me too, as if it was my fault that she had left. The few that were still my close friends and still hers, told me she had moved on, that it was best not to make contact with her. Then out of the blue some months later she reappeared, but still acting like a douche. I was suffering emotionally of course, because we had never even had a divorce, it was just supposed to be a pause, so I did not know how to react, what to feel, what to do… anyway, she kept coming over and over on the weekends, and I had to deal with my “friends” who the moment they saw her, immediately left me and went over to her. Eventually, I decided to give up trying to restore anything with her as she was showing no signs of wanting me back, and started healing. Around four months after we had ended our relationship, I find out she is with another guy! That’s when I knew I had not gotten over her, because I cried, I was mad, it was just a feeling of “oh, poor me”. I could not stand losing her to some other guy, I decided to go diabolical (i.e. via spell). I got involved with a lot of fraudulent so-called spell casters on the internet who ripped me off my money without getting a result as to what I wanted. I almost lost my sanity. Just as I almost was giving up, one faithful morning, I received a mail from one of the spell castes I had applied for spell with but never got a reply all along. He made me to understand that he could not attend to all his costumers then because it was that time of the year for his annual fellowship with his ancestors for the renewal of his spiritual and supernatural gift. I told him not to worry about the spell anymore, that I was done with all of them fake spell casters. He assured me of his 100% genuine work of this gift which he possessed. I decided to give it a try. After spending about 2500 USD (which was due to my inability to provide a whole lot of materials which he needed for the spell process), I am happy to announce to the world that I have gotten back my wife and we are expecting our first baby. All thanks to Dr. Kene Dilli. All you out there tired of all these fraudsters that call themselves spell casters (seeking to rip were they have not sown) and you require legitimate spell for whatsoever purpose, contact Dr. Kene Dilli on his email address; kenedillitemples AT yahoo DOT com
