Coco Austin Joins In on Daughter Chanel’s ‘First Photoshoot’: Take a Peek

12/07/2015 at 11:00 AM ET

Coco Austin‘s daughter Chanel Nicole is just over a week old, but she’s already a model!

The adorable newborn posed in her first-ever photo shoot on Sunday in a variety of tiny and too-cute headbands, as documented through a video posted to Austin’s Instagram.

Joined in one shot by her topless mother, baby Chanel seemed blissfully at peace while photographer Jessie Marrero snapped away behind the camera.

“@babychanelnicole‘s first photoshoot,” wrote Austin of her daughter with husband Ice-T. “She was a natural.”

In a second shot, the tiny baby was wrapped tight in a blanket with a large black velvet Chanel headband, while, in another, she snuggled with a tiny stuffed bear and wore a knitted hat.

Chanel also laid on a miniature sled with a bejeweled headband while amid a faux winter wonderland, and donned a tutu while posed atop a Christmas tree created solely out of shoes.

“Mom’s not the only model in this family,” Austin wrote from Chanel’s own Instagram account, sharing another image from the shoot.

Marrero chimed in on the photo sharing site, sharing a picture with Austin and Ice-T while revealing that “beautiful baby” Chanel “slept the whole way through” the shoot.

Austin already looks trim after delivering her first child, whom she has called her “miracle baby.”

“I’m such a proud mommy!!” she wrote on social media.

What is this lady’s deal, that she feels the need to squeeze into tight clothes & pose topless the first week her kid is born ? Normal people want time to heal + bond as a new family. You gotta wonder about someone whose main priority is “I need to look thin while pregnant & immediately after giving birth.” Really makes those surrogacy rumors start to sound plausible

Poppy on

Good lord. That poor child. Her mother looks like a 5 year old applied her makeup. She’ll be treated like nothing more than an accessory for her trashy mother the rest of her life.

very precious little girl. not sure why they had to do this photo shoot while the baby was only a week old, but…….to each his own I guess.

mistie on

Seriously? She is a proud mom, tried for years to have baby and looks amazing right after. And we wonder why children today are such bullies when grown women attach new mothers for doing what just about every single mother does..take photos..ahh, the horror.

gracie on

I understand that this child is super special for Coco and Ice…they had a difficult fertility struggle. That said, this is a living , breathing little human, not a doll to be playing dress up with. This poor child aready has the job to be mom’s “mini me” and will have zero chance to actualy develop her own likes and dislikes. Her life will be centered on clothing, dressing up and being mom’s accessory. It is far from cute but a sad statement on priorities when bringing a child into this world. I wonder what would have happened if the child was male. And seriously, Coco had to be naked in some of the photos…WHY???

Adorable baby…photos taken too soon…beautiful first photo, except for mom’s giant fake boob, would’ve been stunning if she had been wearing even a tube top…

I love seeing pics of a new baby but these are completely tacky and tasteless. The old saying holds true, money can’t buy you class.

Tiff on

I am happy that she had a baby and that everything is going well.
However, I feel like she is making the baby a doll and playing with her. Also, why is she topless? I know it’s natural but it seems like a ploy for attention.

nope on

the photographer is holding the week old infant correctly.

mom can not or will not to hold the child properly.

weird.

i really hate these newborn photo shoots. why do the babies always have to be undressed and posed in such awkward positions while they sleep? let them sleep, leave them alone. take plenty of pictures in different ways. *sigh*

ILONA on

In France this type of photo is considered ridiculous, but in your country may be that it is the standard !! So ….

Just to clarify, if you want to take these sorts of pics of your baby, believe it or not, they can’t be older than a week old. I booked my photographer before I had my baby and then I had to go in before a week old. They do it in a setting where there were no other children around and were so thoughtful and careful that it was a germ free environment. You don’t feed baby until you get there and when you do, you realize it is awfully warm in the studio. Of course, freshly feed, warm baby equals sleepy baby and they can then set up the pics perfectly!

Ugh…that hideous jeweled headband.

Dat woman is nuts.

I love Ice-T and Coco good for them on their new addition. For those complaining about the shoot-you do know people do this every day right?New born shoots are nothing new.My friend had a baby on black Friday. her pics were up last week. They are proud parents who dealt with a struggle to get pregnant. At least they didnt sell the photos like I am sure Kim and Kanye will do.

Skin to skin pics, and newborn pics taken within a week of birth are actually quite normal (usually with a tube top, but meh). The massive beaded headband isn’t my taste, but overall the photos aren’t out of the norm. They seem to be enjoying “typical” first child events (first for Coco).

Beautiful! And to each his own, but I’m just concerned at a newborn resting on it’s elbows.

Gigi on

I love them. All 3 of them, because they are true to whom they are. Unlike other ‘reality’ stars.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful pics Coco, and congrats!

The pictures in the sled and in the tu tu are the cutest things I’ve seen in forever. Congrats!

Jana on

people it is a NEWBORN photo shoot; they have to be done when the babies are that little. The point of them is they are sleepy, and the photographers pose them in adorable accessories and positions! Coco is doing nothing wrong; moms share pictures of their kids all the time on social media, just because she is famous she isn’t allowed to or is exploiting her baby?? She is just a normal proud mom

Suzie on

I think the pictures are beautiful! Congratulations to this lovely family!

Is it that people don’t like newborn photo shoots, or is it that they don’t like THESE newborn photo shoots? My husband and I did some with our daughter (fully clothed, granted), and I know plenty of people who do them. The intent behind them is sweet.

The photo where the baby is doing the froggy pose is dangerous. This photographer does not understand infant safety. This shot is typically a composition of a couple of shots.

WTH is on that baby’s head? OMG this lady is so trashy. This poor little girl doesn’t stand a chance. Coco needs to rip those stupid fake eyelashes off and grow up once and for all, you’re not 16, quit trying to act like you are.

Angie Hernandez on

I don’t know why people are being so mean. These pictures are ADORABLE.. She is a newborn. You can’t get “newborn” pics without taking them.. Congratulations Ice T and Coco!! She is adorable!! ❤

Sabrine17 on

Good gawd! Cut the lady some slack. She is so proud and excited with her new baby. So what she dresses in tight clothes. She always has, probably always will. It’s nothing new and it’s who she is. She’s not hurting anyone. She is not “normal people” to fit into your little suburban ideals. Being attacked by jealous women is not cool or cute. Get over yourselves.

You can tell how much they adore this little girl. They are proud parents. God bless

Normally when it comes to new parents I figure it’s none of my business. But this time–the tutu shot really disturbs me. 1 week old is way too young to be trying to hold her head up with her hands.

Dumb parents and dumb photographer

And the way Coco is holding the baby scares me too

This mother daughter picture could have been so beautiful if mom had a lot less makeup, angled it to show no boob and had her roots done (nothing worse than seeing dark hair coming through on a super blond hair color). This picture is so botched. With their resources available you would think they could hire a photographer with taste and eye for good pictures.

Adore her on

A little bit too soon Coco, she’s only a week old. I know she’s your’s and you are entitled to do as you please, excited, happy and wanting to share her with the world, but take out time to just be in aw of her right now, give her a few more months of life to just take in this world you and Ice brought her into.

I think this is wonderful how happy and proud Channel’s parents are! I have taken thousands of pictures of my grandchildren and show then to anyone who wants to see. How is this different?

myuntidydesk on

The one of Coco and the baby would be so much prettier if Coco were not so heavily made up.

Dito on

Another Kim K trying to make her newborn famous already.

Xia on

Adorable yet real! Beyonce would never share because she was never been pregnant! Coco birth all the way, just like Kim… 100% real! Love that picture! Hey Beyonce… it’s time for you to speak up to the fans that you’ve been lying since day 1 about the truth of surrogate. We know that Blue Ivy isn’t yours, Beyonce.

First off, you usually do get newborn pictures done within the first 7-10 days. Secondly, who cares what she is wearing? She posted pictures of what she looked like 9 months pregnant, and just because she wasn’t a huge slob you’re bashing her? Anyone who has anything negative to say—take a look at all the children being bullied today, and know that YOU are a bully too when you say mean things.

tammy on

She is so cute! Very blessed.

Everyone who is picking this apart is ridiculous! There is nothing wrong with any of these pictures. I think the one of Coco and the baby is beautiful. She is not showing anywhere near as much skin as people do on the beach. And there is nothing wrong with how she is holding her.

marcy on

Wow Why can’t people just say this baby is precious and beautiful! For those who don’t know today this is how pictures are taken. So much tragedy in this world it really is a shame you can’t find something nice to say.

heather on

All these newborn photoshoots look the same. Enough people, they’re all ridiculous!

I find all newborn photoshoots disturbing, these are just extra disturbing.

So previous…what great pictures. And congrats Coco on being so fit that you could look so great after the birth of your sweetheart. Be proud no matter those stupid people may say.

I would much rather look at pictures of this little angle everyday than read 1 more story about the Kardashian birth drama.

For those whining about how concerned they are that a newborn is propped on her elbows…good grief, that does no harm whatsoever! My oldest is 49, and we had pics made like that of him and later, of his younger sister. Both were strong healthy newborns and they did fine! It only takes a few seconds to do, and the baby is just fine throughout the session. What bullies some of you are; I would have kept my clothes on, and I looked great after delivery, but Coco usually doesn’t exactly overdress, so why act shocked she didn’t “overdress” for the photoshoot, either. They are so excited to be new parents…they aren’t going any more overboard than my niece, who after a long time of infertility, finally had a baby, and wow! 2 million pictures since delivery, and don’t even think for a second that they didn’t do the newborn pics!

Is this a common thing in America?

A little newborn baby completely naked in a large room… It must be so cold. I just find it odd that people would exploit a newborn this much just days after birth. Especially after such a long fertility struggle. I’d be focused on attachment.

sandy on

poor girl will resent her if this is the road she is going to go down! I hope she allows her daughter to make her own decisions and choose what she wants to wear! Like Kim K. & Kanye- the use their kids as little props for photo’s and buy them all these clothes to make them look cool or like mini adults. I find it ridiculous how they post all these pictures of their kids. One day they may have something to say about it!

Caitie on

She’s actually NOT holding her head up on her hands. That’s why mom (or a photographer’s assistant) has their hand in the shot. Their finger is holding Chanel’s head up. After that part, they’ll take several more shots of her with her head down and then when the photographer edits the photos, she’ll clone the hand out and make the dress blend all together so it looks like she’s holding her head up, but she’s really not.

And like other people are saying – yes, newborn photos have to be done in the first 7-10 days. Even just those extra four days to two weeks is stretching it. You need them when they still don’t have any muscle control so you can pose them as needed. Plus, it’s easier with a newborn, should he or she wake up at some point, to get them back to sleep with a nursing session or a bottle and then you can continue the photos.

Also, I don’t get why people keep saying “her main priority was to stay thin while pregnant” – she complained several times about not having a large bump and not being seen as being pregnant by other people when that was what she wanted. Not only were her ab muscles exceedingly tight, but Chanel was born early. She was barely six pounds. So there was none of that weight gain that tends to happen in the last 3-4 weeks.

Maria on

There are so many things that are wrong: first – Coco faked her pregnancy, I will never understand why she is ashamed to admit she had a surrogate. Second – look at this circus now – naked; bending her newborn fragile baby’s limbs as she was made of a Play-Doh!? Coco’s world is unhealthy, it’s very sad she has been using her baby to get publicity. She needs counselling.

Maria on

and, Coco is not 36, that’s a joke. Why so many lies?!

Coco looks great and the baby is so adorable. I’m happy for Coco that she can put her makeup on and feel good about herself. It is such an exciting time in her life. Why can’t she take pictures of herself and family?

This poor child is going to have to fight to “share” the lime light with her ridiculous mother. This reminds me of Tori Spelling and her mother Candy. Coco is always going to have to one up this child, kinda sad.
