Anne Hathaway pregnant expecting first child Adam Shulman

Princess Mia is going to have a little princess (or prince) of her own!

Anne Hathaway and husband Adam Shulman are expecting their first child, E! News reports.

“Anne is in her second trimester and feeling great,” a source tells the outlet, which also posted a photo of the actress out in Beverly Hills earlier this week, sporting a bump.

Hathaway, 33, and Shulman, 34, married in September 2012, after four years of dating.

That same year, The Intern star revealed she plans to have a big family.

“I’ll start with one healthy kid but I’d like to have a few naturally and adopt. I gotta get on it, you know?” she told The Telegraph. “I’d like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special.”

“I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely,” Hathaway told Vogue in 2013.

“I think about it all the time, though it’s a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I’ll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can’t wait to meet them.”

So happy for her… Wishing her a happy & healthy pregnancy.

1. Congratulations! 2. Why would it be a surprise that a married couple is having a child. They have been together more than seven years, so not so surprising..

Meena on

Brought a smile to my face. Good for her.

Congrats Anne and Adam!

What does “I’ll start with one healthy kid mean?” A biological child? One that doesn’t have different needs?

cucu on

Everything she does is so calculated, thats why sh is so unlikeable

My condolences to the future child. Life won’t be easy with a raging narcissist for a mother.

Too Shy on

Congratulations, and wishing her all the best. Very happy for her.
Some of you are being just so negative and nasty. Doesn’t everyone plan for when and how many children they want? Why refer to it is calculating? As for the healthy comment, what parents don’t hope and pray for a healthy child?

Jackie on

You are all so negative lol a baby is to be celebrated and the last reaction you should have is to say negative shit and mother or baby! Congrats to them for putting in a nice long relationship and marriage before having babies as most just jump into it. Not to say it’s wrong it’s just refreshing to see that there are people out there that take their time. I’d like to be around her age before I think about kids.

A lot of parents decide not to have any more children if they have one that is born with a disability of any kind. Not out of narcissism or anything cruel. They want to be sure they can devote the time necessary to meet the special needs. If it’s a genetic disease, a lot of people don’t want to pass it on to a future child. You don’t have to agree with the decision, but there is no need to be cruel just because she said years ago that she would start with one “healthy” child.

Its true everyone was on my case…….have one more and I was like nope his hers and ours…..I had one from previous marriage and so did he and we had one together…..I made right decision for us because I thought 3 was enough between two of us and it was a few years later that 3rd one was diagnosed and is a special needs child that requires 24 7 care as one day everything is fine and than next thing we know we are in hospital for days at time. I can not imagine having another child younger than him to take care of or have someone else help so we can tend to our special needs son.

I’ll take Anne any day of the week & twice on Sunday over the KarTRASHians that get most of People’s posts! Congratulations to her & her husband 🙂

cucu–you not liking someone does not make them unlikable.

Why is it ALL these movie star women say- oh, I want tons of kids. I want my own and then I want to adopt a few too! They SAY it but they never do. This women I find very irritating!

mommea on

Whoa Anne! I hate to pop your bubble but “I’ll start with one healthy kid” doesn’t always happen, be as prepared for whatever you sent and be grateful. Life isn’t always calculated…..

That’s nice People are “officially” announcing…considering you could clearly see her bump during her Internship press and debuts…lol

That 1st/ex scammer boyfriend of hers nearly ruined her life. So happy she found love again and can now experience motherhood. All the best. Xo

@ Negative Nellies
I’m sure she means “healthy baby” because she’s getting up in age. And we’ve all wished for a healthy baby…you know, 10 fingers and 10 toes. I’m sure her baby will be loved regardless if it’s healthy or not. Cut her a break. This is her 1st pregnancy. Why can’t you stop twisting what people say into your warped negative instead of what she means in a nice positive.

Canuk on

She is an annoying obnoxious narcissistic biatch.

Hey Anne, I hear Raffaello is a good baby name nowadays!

Can’t imagine “hating” an actor I don’t even know, or wishing her ill in any way. This woman is expecting her first child, and of course she hopes it will be a healthy baby. She is hoping that just like everyone does, whether they think they will hope that, or not. I hoped for a healthy baby because as a NB Nursery nurse, I had certainly seen the other side, and knew about things others didn’t even know could happen. My child had to have surgery at 6 wks, had heart issues for quite some time, and such severe allergies, she went deaf. Of course, that wasn’t what I hoped for her to go through! That didn’t make me narcissistic, selfish, or any other hateful thing. Some of you really need help, or at least, a brand new hobby that doesn’t entail ruining other people’s day! Why should all the rest of us have to wade through your mean, insulting statements every time we just want a little break from our day to come read about something positive. Ugh! You should be ashamed!

Why is it a surprise that a young woman who is married is having a child?

Carylee on

Her husband has no appeal

Wow, some of you have real issues, people. I randomly entered this comment section to see all those simple “congratulations”, but the various reasons you find to comment negetively on a simple happy statement and a person you clearly don’t know personally is just fascinating and very sad.

help on

You must understand and be able to articulate and communicate why is you exceptional and compelling. Just because you realize what ABS, OCD, ACL, or PHP means, don’t assume everyone else does.

Janey – the surprise is a Hollywood married couple is having a baby…lol.
