Marla Sokoloff Welcomes Daughter Olive Mae
Justine Ungaro

Marla Sokoloff is officially loving two little ones: her baby girl is here!

The actress and her husband, composer Alec Puro, welcomed their second child on Friday, March 13, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

Daughter Olive Mae Puro arrived six weeks early in Los Angeles, weighing 4 lbs., 10 oz. and measuring 18 inches long. She joins big sister Elliotte Anne, 3.

“Someone decided to join the world just a wee bit early. She couldn’t wait to meet us,” Sokoloff, 34, tells PEOPLE, adding that Olive will remain in the NICU for the time being. “We are so in love!”

In her November blog, Sokoloff — who announced her pregnancy in October — wondered what her future as a mom of two would look like.

“For the past 2½ years plus, my little girl has been my everything and when I look at that face, I’m positively blown away by her,” she wrote.

“There is so much beauty and excitement that’s about to come my way, and I’m truly feeling way more blessed and lucky than I could have ever dreamed of.”

But although the soon-to-be big sister was tackling her threenage years, Elliotte was still ecstatic over the family’s future addition.

“Elliotte’s excitement for the new baby has not waned at all and I cannot wait for her to meet her new baby sister!” Sokoloff wrote in January.

Congrats! How great to have two precious daughters. Olive is a pretty name, and it’s been gaining momentum over the past couple of years.

I’m so happy for her and her family. I’m sure Elliotte is going to have so much fun with her little sister. I also love the name Olive, very pretty.

Congratulations! Stay strong & trust the NICU staff…they can do amazing things!

Our baby boy was due April 22, but decided he wanted to come 10 weeks early & is now 5 weeks old & thriving!! (What is with these April babies coming so early this year??)

You can all do this! God bless!

Congrats to the family. Just not a fan of the names she picked for both her daughters. I’d love to ask the parents if their parents named them quirky names how would they feel. Sorry, but the name Elliotte for a girl…give me a break and Olive Mae sounds so Hilly-Billy.

ELC – Are you SERIOUS with that comment?? What kind of disgusting person picks on young children.. You really want to ask the parents how they would feel if they had quirky names? How about asking how they feel having a daughter in the NICU for 6 weeks!! I can only imagine that you don’t have a family since a mother would never try to shame another mother and her children in a public forum.

Congrats to the family on the birth of their new baby girl. Love both names! One of my close friends has an Olive and an Elliot (boy though). I think they pair so nicely together, whether for two sisters, or a sister and a brother. Hope little Olive can come home very soon!

I love Marla Sokoloff’s blogs! I was also 4lbs.10oz. when I was born, on the thirteenth too. I like the name. I guess they’re John Legend fans: Olive Mae=All of Me? But Olive and Elliotte do sound nice together. Congrats!

Congrats! Though Olive just reminds me of a martini or Olive Oil in Popeye. And Olive Mae sounds like an old lady.
