It’s been two months since Vanessa Lachey gave birth to her second child, but the new mama is still beaming.

The actress and host, 34, stepped out on Saturday to celebrate Dr. Michele Hakakha‘s book, Expecting411: Clear Answers & Smart Advice for Your Pregnancy.

When asked what makes Dr. Hakakha the pregnancy whisperer, Lachey didn’t hesitate. “She makes you feel like such an amazing, confident, wonderful woman,” she told PEOPLE at the event in Beverly Hills.

“She talks to you like a girlfriend, but she’s also a very knowledgeable doctor.”

Now that Lachey has two little ones — she and husband Nick Lachey are also parents to 2-year-old son Camden John — her whole life has changed.

“It’s changed my priorities and it changed everything for the better,” she says. “Everything now is about my kids and my family.”

Brooklyn Elisabeth, who was born in January, is already stealing her mom’s heart — with her sweet grin. “She’s starting to do the facial recognition, the smile, and it’s killing me,” Lachey shares. “I say, ‘Hi Brooklyn,’ and she smiles back and I love it. I love it because I know she knows she sees me.”

And how is Brooklyn’s big brother adapting to the family’s new addition? “I’ve heard some horror stories,” Lachey jokes. “He’s the best. He’s awesome.”

With two adorable children already, will the Lachey brood continue to expand? “Never know,” she teases.

She thinks she’s the only Mother out there and has the best toddler an marriage. She’s so fake. Nobody forgot her TRL days even though she’s so “pristine” now. I think her son looks like her and e’s ok looking

Luv Vanessa & Nick – they seem like such nice people. As a mom, it warms my heart to hear other moms gush about their newborns. I wish them all the best – this is what life is all about – family & love!
