Mila Kunis Walks the Red Carpet 4 Months After Baby

02/03/2015 at 09:30 AM ET

Mila Kunis‘s first red carpet as a mom was out of this world.

Only four months after welcoming daughter Wyatt Isabelle, the Jupiter Ascending star showed up for the Los Angeles premiere of her new sci-fi film — and it was a totally wow-worthy appearance.

Kunis, 31, showed off her best assets in a black bustier Dolce & Gabbana frock, complete with a full-skirt, paired with lacy Christian Louboutin stilettos and a jeweled necklace. She wore her long dark locks in loose curls and finished off her look with a nude lip.

But motherhood has taught Kunis that there’s much more to life than the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

“Not to say that this is meaningless,” she told PEOPLE on the red carpet. “But, truly, how little this matters and how much I’d rather be home right now.”

The new mama first showed off her svelte body after baby during a December appearance on the Late Late Show, where she shared her secret to getting back in shape. “Breastfeeding is a great workout,” she said.

But despite stepping back from the spotlight, Kunis has been plenty busy with her now 4-month-old baby girl. With Ashton Kutcher at work during the day, the actress has been caring for the couple’s first child without a nanny.

“We want to be the people that know what to do when the baby’s crying to make the baby not cry anymore,” Kutcher told Ellen DeGeneres of their decision to hold off on hired help.

“We want to know, like, when she makes a little face or something, we want to be emotionally in touch with her. And I think the only way to do that is by being the one who’s there.”

She looks amazing, but more importantly I love that they are putting their child first. They grow so fast, and you shouldn’t miss a thing

So what, I was in my bikini 6 weeks after having my kids

You’re my hero Sandy. wow.

I’m still always confused about the focus on women getting back into shape so quickly after having a baby. It takes 9-10 months for your body to expand; I’m not sure why we expect women to magically bounce back within a couple of months. Nor do I think it should be the focus when you have a new little one to care for.

That being said, she looks gorgeous 🙂

Sandy, no one cares…

She looks beautiful as always and I love that she is “there” for her child.

And @Sandy, good for you, but you didn’t say you looked good in your bikini. Judging by the fact that you made the comment at all, I am guessing that you did not, but thanks for sharing. 🙂

Leave it to People magazine to count how long it’s been since she gave birth -_-

She looks beautiful!

Sandy, not everything is a competition. Lets try supporting one another. It goes such a long way!

She looks great! However, that dress conveniently conceals any post baby pooch she might have and she could easily be wearing undergarments to keep bits in. It isn’t about bouncing back after baby, but knowing how to dress oneself, and being happy regardless.

She looks great in this dress!
