Boy meets baby!

Boy Meets World star Rider Strong and wife Alexandra Baretto welcomed their first child, son Indigo “Indy” Baretto Strong on Sunday, Dec. 28, a rep for the actor confirms to PEOPLE.

The new dad, 35, wed his “partner-in-crime” Baretto, 39, in October 2013 and successfully kept Baretto’s pregnancy completely under wraps.

Strong — who played bad boy Shawn Hunter on the ABC sitcom and has reprised his role on the Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World — and Barreto, who plays Ana on The Fosters, met as costars on the short-lived WB series Pepper Dennis in 2006. They continued working together on the horror film Tooth and Nail later that year.

E! News was the first to announce the birth.

Not to be rude but I dont think the paps were knocking down their door to see if they were pregnant or not. Congratulations on the birth of your little one

Whoa, this was a surprise. Have loved Rider since BMW and his two GMW appearances have been great. Congratulations to him and Alexandra!

Congrats to the couple. Bur please, let us clear about why they “successfully” kept their pregnancy under wraps. More like people did not care to know.

They named him Indigo because Blue was already taken.

My younger self is really disappointed now…. when I was 10 or 11 I wanted to marry BMW’s Sean soooo badly 🙂
I had a huge crush on Rider when I was little.

My older self is happy for him 🙂 And I actually like the name Indigo.

Missy, any statement that necessitates a predication of “Not to be rude” IS going to be rude, and I’m sure you know that. Besides, regarding your comment: WHO CARES?!

Sara K on

Hattie, same with you. Is it necessary to be nasty? Does that make you feel better about your life that you actually took the time to compose a post, and then proceed to post it, saying people didn’t care? Nasty person. Clearly YOU cared enough to post it! Move on.
