Neve Campbell: Party of Five Taught Me Nothing About Parenthood

Neve Campbell got plenty of practice being a part of a family on Party of Five — but, unfortunately, not much motherhood experience.

“Our parents were dead [on the show] … Party of Five was good for family values. In that sense, it taught me a few things,” Campbell, 40, told PEOPLE at Monday’s premiere of Third Person in Los Angeles.

Any advice Campbell picked up along the way is being put to good use: The actress and JJ Feild welcomed son Caspian in 2012. And, according to the first-time mom, her toddler is keeping her on her toes.

“He’s talking a lot more,” she says of her son, who turns 2 next month. “The word of choice is no right now.”

But despite the daily challenges, Campbell can’t get enough of her baby boy. “There’s so much that’s so beautiful,” she shares. “Waking up to him every morning with that smile and innocence and creative energy is beautiful.”

What is Third Person? Has she returned to tv?

Neve looks fabulous!

Harcinab on

She says the show taught her a few things, the headline says nothing. Get it straight, People!!!
Also, of course it didn’t teach you much Neve, it’s a TV show!

by the way on

third person is a movie.

Meredith on

anonymous did you not read? She’s in something called Third Person.

Diane on

The headline is misleading (but she looks great).

Anyone relying on TV to teach them how to be a parent is doomed and might as well start a bail fund for their baby right now because they will be broke from bailing their kid out of jail time after time.

Meredith, I think you are the one who needs their eyes checked. It does not say what Third Person is (i.e. film, play, documentary, etc.) nor does it say what her connection is to it. Attending a premiere doesn’t really say too much. I guess what she’s wearing and random stale quotes about random topics is more important?

Wow, I can’t believe that Neve Campbell is 40. She looks really lovely.

She looks great in this photo!
