There’s someone new at the tribal council!

Three-time Survivor contestant Benjamin “Coach” Wade and wife Jessica welcomed a daughter, Lenna Marie Newton Wade, on Thursday, May 8, the reality star confirms to PEOPLE.

Making her debut at noon in Susanville, California, Lenna weighed in at 7 lbs., 1 oz. and measured 20 inches long. She joins big brother Avvan, 5, at home.

Wade, 42, tells PEOPLE that fatherhood has changed him from the self-involved person he was when audiences first saw him on Survivor: Tocantins.

“I was pretty selfish,” he admits. “No kids, no marriage. That was my motto. But then that all changed when I met Jessica. When her son called me “Dad,” a new man was born.”

Wade, who also competed in Heroes vs Villains and South Pacific, says that he’s now ready to be a father to a daughter.

“Trepidation slips away, nerves begin to calm,” he says. “Today, a full circle of life begins.”

Surprising, but great news! Babies and marriage have changed many a man! Look at Simon Cowell…and now George Clooney getting married.

Congratulations Coach and family!

I thought he was older than 42! Maybe 52!

Good for them, but I really find it annoying when people say “no marriage, no kids” is selfish. It’s completely untrue.

Glad he got a wife and is building a family if he felt he was selfish before and wanted to change. Good for him. Congrats on the new baby.

My daughter was born in the same hospital. I love that they still live in Susanville, it’s such a small friendly town.

Not is all as it seems! He’s 42, she’s 28! She will ruin him! Her reputation is one similar to the red light district!

This is a sad state of affairs. He ruined the relationship Jessica had with Avvan’s father, James and still cheated on Jessica after their secret Dec. 31,2011 wedding. She nearly annulled the whole thing. They waited a year and a half for a big wedding to see if it would stick and because she was already pregnant. Miscarried that child and now they have Lenna but he still travels without his family because he got fired for his coaching job. The symphony attendance is down because people are tired of them. She teaches dance at the basest level and her R rated material for her axed from a theater musical non for profit her mother and she founded. It was risqué and I acceptable for those under 18 and there we kids in the show. Attendance this year boomed! He was known for cheating out foreign soccer players of money and education leaving them to fend for themselves and she encourages drugs, alcohol and sex. the father of her first child was seduced by her for 4 years from age 14-18. She was 19-23. Her reputation is not good and he is considered a player. I feel sorry for the children.

This couple’s reputation in Susanville is bad! She seduced her son’s father when he was 14-18 and she was 19-23. He cheated on her even after their secret wedding and she almost had it annulled. They waited 18 months for a formal wedding because she was pregnant, lost that baby. Now he lost his local soccer job. She was booted out of a group she founded because of X rated dancing

I got to see her from the front and because he parents have huge noses this girl has a schnozzola that will make her get teased forever. Coach will have to go back on Survivor to win more money for her nose job! Or get her a tail to balance out her walking.

I’m saddened that someone from Susanville would choose this forum to spew such hate. I’ve known Jessica and her family for several years. They gave much of their time and money to develop the theatre arts in Susanville. I participated in those early years and it was a tough learning curve. Without their efforts, the B of B program and improvements to Memorial Hall would not exist. Jessica was also Ambassadress of the Lassen County fair. As for Coach Wade, I first became acquainted with him through his participation in the annual Messiah presentation. He was featured on the trumpet and deservedly so. As for the Susanville Symphony, he was instrumental in making that happen and pulling in many outstanding instrumentalists and singers.

As for their personal journey, it’s really not important. We all make mistakes. They are a family. I’d like to congratulate them on their new daughter and wish them well.
