Sherri Saum’s Pregnancy Style? Elastic Waistbands

As she counts down the days until her twin boys make their big debut, actress Sherri Saum is squeezing in some last-minute study sessions.

“I’ve been reading Twins Sleep Training. I’m also going to read The Happiest Baby on the Block,” The Fosters star, who will welcome her sons in May, told PEOPLE at the 25th annual GLAAD Awards on Saturday in Beverly Hills.

As for staying in shape, Saum, 39, has been loving long walks. “My favorite thing is just the power of walking,” she explains. “I can only do 10 to 15 minutes now and light weights.”

She adds, “I still try to do something every day to feel active.”

But what’s all that work with no play? The mom-to-be — who admits her pregnancy style boils down to elastic waistbands — is indulging in her sweet tooth. “[I’ve been craving] chocolate ice cream, which I love anyway,” she says. “But I love it a lot now!”

Wow, her babies aren’t even born yet and she’s reading books on how to neglect them (aka sleep training). Why even have kids if your main concern is how to make them fit into your schedule? Babies need to be parented 24/7, not just when you feel like it.

Wow shawna you must know her very personally to make such a pompous assumption. Ever think that maybe she wants to be able to get them on a schedule more smoothly rather than parenting. Douche

Wow Shawna.. you are extremely judgmental are you not.. I am a professional nanny who works for a pediatrician.. and they are sleep training their 8 month old twins.. You dont have any right to tell others how to raise their children or what is best for them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with teaching your children how to sleep through the night.. That is what parents are supposed to do.

I dont believe i heard a word about WHEN she plans to do it.. Most drs recommend between 4 and 8 months to do so. As a mom of 5, i highly recommend it. You need to stop worrying about everyone else and look after your own back yard. It just is not your business how she decides to take care of her babies.

Ok…Shawna’s post just took over the top spot for dumbest comment ever on PEOPLE’s boards…

If it were posted by a man, it could be explained…they’re clueless, well many are, about the benefits and importance of putting young children on schedules…they thrive on it.

Shawna! Why are you reading articles on People and not parenting your children? Shameful.

it’s incredible that she’s almost ready to give birth, and it seems like she has only one baby in there. Absolutely elegant – that dress is to die for

jessjca – I agreed with your comment up to the last word. Name calling is totally unnecessary when you disagree with someone. You were out-of-line. Plus, I think comments are generally taken more seriously when the commenter doesn’t stoop to that level.

Who the hell IS she, and why do we care>

I have followed her career since Passions. So happy that she and Kamar are finally having a baby….babies. 🙂

Her style is gorgeous and she looks great in style.

Shawna- We have no idea what method of sleep training Sherri’s going to be using. There are several, and she could be using one that involves minimal to no CIO (at least I hope she is!). 🙂

Anyway, it looks like she may be one of those rare women that carries her twins to term (term for twins, that is, which is 37 weeks rather than 40). And where is she hiding those babies anyway (she barely looks eight months along with ONE baby, let alone two!)? 😉

Wow… twins… congrats Sherri, looking good!
