I Really Love My: Gwen Stefani’s Smythe Coat

02/18/2014 at 10:00 AM ET

When you’re expecting, a stylish jacket that can get you through every stage of your pregnancy is a fashion win win. And in Gwen Stefani‘s case, that happens to be Smythe‘s Peaked Lapel Coat ($695).

The mom-to-be (who recently announced she’s having a boy) wore the tailored black overcoat on three different occasions. On Dec. 21, the pop star paired it with a gray wrap top, rolled-up black jeans and L.A.M.B. Nichol booties to take sons Zuma and Kingston to a playdate in L.A.

And just a month before, Stefani threw it over her Hatch denim jumpsuit and added All Saints Kiss Tassel boots for more polish to grab lunch on Nov. 23 in L.A. But our fave look by far was the all-black ensemble (belly-hugging top, Paige Denim Ultra Skinny in Black Silk Coating jeans and open-toe stilettos) she wore on Feb. 10 while leaving an acupuncture class in Koreatown, Calif.

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
