Drew Barrymore Expecting Second Daughter Celebrity Monitor/ Pacific Coast News

Break out the pink balloons!

Actress Drew Barrymore is expecting her second daughter with husband Will Kopelman in March, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

Barrymore, 38, revealed she was pregnant with a baby girl while accepting Beauty Inc. Awards’ Newcomer of the Year honor for her cosmetics line, Flower.

“I am so proud to accept this in celebration of women, including my daughter and my future daughter,” she said during the ceremony on Wednesday.

Shortly after announcing there was another baby on the way, Barrymore — already mom to 14-month-old daughter Olive — explained to PEOPLE why she was prepared to go public with her second pregnancy.

“Last time I never commented on it and people just stalked me the entire time,” she said. “So yes, it’s happening, it’s true. I tried to keep it a secret for as long as possible.”

Yay! This is pretty exciting and I really can’t wait to find out the name now. I’m guessing some sort of flower this time?

It’s great to see a celeb overcome a tough childhood/adolescence. She seems so happy and definitely a gorgeous pregnant woman!

Drew has grown so much as a woman in the public eye, only happy thoughts and wishes for her from me!

That’s sweet. I do hope she picks a better name for the next one though….and let it not be a food!

Susan: How can you say “picks a better name” ????? Are you the baby naming police? I bet LOTS of people like that name. How can people be so darn judgmental?

Nothing but warm wishes to Drew and her expanding family!

Yay! I am so happy for her. She will have so much to offer as her daughters grow up. I am glad with them being so close in age they will be both girls!

Gosh, Susan. Olive is not a strange name. Get over yourself.

Merin on

Olive was my Aunt’s name. I’m sure she’ll pick something just as unique and lovely next time.

Congrats, Drew and family!

My money is on Daisy 🙂

Susan has a right to her opinion….just like we all do. I’m not a great fan of Olive but it’s better than Apple 🙂

I think Olive is a beautiful name.. that being said if she was the one to suggest it and not her husband let’s be thankful she didn’t have a daughter with Tom Green!

FUTURE Daughter? seriously? she’s not a daughter now??? WOW

I love the name Olive. Now, the name Susan is one I do not like.

@ Susan – if you EVER read anything about Mrs. Kopelman – you would know that they got the name from reading a book describing the SIZE of her child at the time! GEEZE!! Best wishes to Drew and her expanding family!

Hey, Anonymous do you not see it says “daughter AND future daughter” implying that she is expecting another baby girl…..

Congrats to Drew. Love love love her.

I don’t understand the hate on the name Olive. Do people that hate that name also hate Olivia and Oliver?

Hey anonymous 2, anonymous 1 means that life begins at conception. Meaning, anon1 is a pot stirrer trying to get something cooking.

I just LOVE Drew! She is such a sweet person! I met her once in West Hollywood and she was super, super nice. I had a feeling she would be having another little girl! She is going to raise such wonderful girls! 🙂

How wonderful! I’m a second daughter myself, and I think two girls are great. Congratulations to Drew and her family.

If its after a flower, I can see her going with Poppy or Lilac. I don’t think it will be as common as Daisy or Lily. Lilac is one of the flowers of springtime, so I can see her going with that since she’s due in spring.

If she’s going for classic names, I can see a Victoria, Elizabeth, Caroline, Ruth, Mae, Clara, etc..

Congratulations to Drew and Will! Two little girls…how sweet 🙂 I just love her and wish her a happy and healthy pregnancy and delivery….can’t wait to hear the name!
