It’s a boy for Paula Garces!

The Devious Maids star, 39, and her husband Antonio Hernandez welcomed their first child together on Wednesday, Nov. 20, PEOPLE confirms exclusively.

Son Antonio Andres Hernandez was born at 4:40 p.m. weighing in at 7 lbs., 5 oz. and measuring 20½ inches long.

“After a difficult 14-hour labor, my mom had to have an emergency c-section,” the actress’s daughter Skye, 21, tells PEOPLE. “My brother was born beautiful and healthy, thank God, and Mom is doing well also.”

In July, the All My Children actress, who recently celebrated her baby shower, told PEOPLE her husband was looking forward to adding a baby boy to the family.

“He was so excited because we already experienced a baby girl with Skye,” she said.

But most of all, Garces — who had all but given up hope on having a second child after two miscarriages – was elated to finally be pregnant again.

“I really just wanted a happy, healthy baby,” she said.

I love Paula Garcés on Defying Gravity — she was so good on that show. I can’t believe she’s 39 — she looks about 25. Good for her!

What a joyous occasion. Plenty to be thankful for Thanksgiving.

Best to you both.

Congratulations to the happy family! A healthy baby and mom is fine. Love the name; honoring his heritage and his dad. Trish, honestly? “original name”? If celebs give their child some oddball name, they get criticized…if they give them a “normal” family name reflecting their lives and their heritage, that gets criticized, as well. Good grief, name your child whatever you want to, and don’t jump others for their choices, please.

Congrats to them!

Trish, I guess being named after dad is an honor and a “super original name,” is that excuse for your name?
