Pink: My Daughter Is 'Fierce,' but Don't Call Them the Terrible Twos

When you’re Pink‘s daughter, you’re not going to be a shrinking violet.

And indeed, the singer says her little girl Willow already has a strong personality — and that’s just fine with mom.

“She’s fierce. We need our girls to be fiery,” Pink, 34, said Monday at the Los Angeles premiere of Thanks for Sharing, in which Pink — credited as Alecia Moore, her real name — makes her movie-acting debut.

Willow turned 2 in June. So, would these be the terrible twos?

“Oh, I don’t call them terrible. I think she’s tender,” says Pink. “She has opinions. And my challenge right now is, ‘Don’t laugh,’ because she gets pissed when I laugh. She means it, and I’m laughing. I’m, like, downplaying her emotions. She’s so cute! ‘Don’t look at me, mama! Don’t talk to me, mama!’ Okay!”

Willow isn’t quite old enough to appreciate her mom’s music, but she’s getting there.

“She likes ‘Try’ and ‘Just Give Me a Reason.’ The rest, take it or leave it, she doesn’t care,” Pink reveals.

Meanwhile, the pop star is still pinching herself that she got a role in Thanks for Sharing. “Tim Robbins and Mark Ruffalo and Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Gad, Joely Richardson. I’m like, okay, why me?” she says. “You want me to do the soundtrack?”

Absolutely love P!nk! Willow is a cutie, and I’m sure if she takes after her mom she is definitely opinionated even at 2 yrs old. Lol

It’s not the Two’s you need to fear these days, it’s the Terrifying Three’s!

Love Pink I love her music and her free spirit life style. LOVE that she is strong independant woman teaching her daughter to be as well.

Willow sure has good taste in music. Try and Just Give Me a Reason are my new favorites of all of Pink’s songs.

Wow. She just turned 2. For some crazy reason I thought she was older. Maybe its cause she is kept out of the spotlight. The public might not keep track. But she is a beautiful little girl.

This article is inaccurate. Pink has been in at least six movies. This is not her acting debut.

I Love that she uses the word tender. They are tender at this age! They’re emotions run the gamut and they are very tender hearted. She has always struck me as a very thoughtful mother.
