When you’re Pink‘s daughter, you’re not going to be a shrinking violet.
And indeed, the singer says her little girl Willow already has a strong personality — and that’s just fine with mom.
“She’s fierce. We need our girls to be fiery,” Pink, 34, said Monday at the Los Angeles premiere of Thanks for Sharing, in which Pink — credited as Alecia Moore, her real name — makes her movie-acting debut.
Willow turned 2 in June. So, would these be the terrible twos?
“Oh, I don’t call them terrible. I think she’s tender,” says Pink. “She has opinions. And my challenge right now is, ‘Don’t laugh,’ because she gets pissed when I laugh. She means it, and I’m laughing. I’m, like, downplaying her emotions. She’s so cute! ‘Don’t look at me, mama! Don’t talk to me, mama!’ Okay!”
Willow isn’t quite old enough to appreciate her mom’s music, but she’s getting there.
“She likes ‘Try’ and ‘Just Give Me a Reason.’ The rest, take it or leave it, she doesn’t care,” Pink reveals.
Meanwhile, the pop star is still pinching herself that she got a role in Thanks for Sharing. “Tim Robbins and Mark Ruffalo and Gwyneth Paltrow and Josh Gad, Joely Richardson. I’m like, okay, why me?” she says. “You want me to do the soundtrack?”
