Xano? Um..ok

Agape on

Any ideas on pronunciation?

gaa on

@agape: I think it would be pronounced ‘Zano’

Sarah S. on

Okay, is it Zah-no or Zay-no? Anyway, congrats to them!

Sarah S. on

Oh geez, I wasn’t paying attention…Xano not Zano. So is it Ex-zahno or Ex-zayno? Confusing, but interesting name!

Honey, Xano if it is a boy, Xanax if it’s a girl…

Congrats to them!

Glad it’s a boy. Sooo tired of reading about everyone having a multiple number of daughters. Every man wants a son and every woman wants not only a daughter but a boy also.

NoItDoesnt on

Wtf? That doesn’t even make sense!

Congrats to the new parents šŸ™‚

Do you know how ridiculous you sound sunny? I bet you wouldnt say that if everyone had boys and no one had a girl? Not every man wants a son…my husband is one of those men who would prefer a daughter, as would i. You are obviously bitter against girls for some reason. I personally think it is nice to see people want daughters since male babies were preferred YEARS ago…i know MANY women who would rather a daughter.

Pretty sure all that people want is a healthy baby these days! Gender does not matter!

Congrats and best wishes to them =)

@Sarah: x is pronunced like z in the beginning of a word, so no ex- crap. its pronounced zay-no

Sunny, not true. Every man doesn’t want a son. Some men just want healthy children. When you enter a group (like mine) who has lost a child through miscarriage, stillborn, and at a young age…you wish for a healthy child, since your friends and family aren’t so lucky. Each of our five children was such a blessing, we didn’t care.

I have it on good authority that the name Xano is pronounced ‘Shanno’. It is a Galician name, Galicia being in the north of Spain where Alejandra is from. There, all X’s are pronounced ‘Sh’. I know this to be 100% correct because Xano is my son. Thanks, J
