Kristen Bell: Pregnancy Made My Voice Deeper

Kristen Bell is reveling in motherhood.
“It is amazing to see [Dax Shepard] with her. To have something alive that is part of both of us is a really lovely feeling,” the House of Lies star told PEOPLE at the D23 Expo in Anaheim on Friday.
Bell, who told Ellen DeGeneres in May that Shepard was the “best” dad to the couple’s daughter Lincoln Bell, voices Anna in the upcoming animated film Frozen and says being pregnant changed her experience in the recording booth.
“The pregnancy did change my voice. It made it deeper,” she said. “There were more womanly tones when I did one recording while I was extremely pregnant. After I had the baby, I had to go back and re-record those lines so they matched. There was something different about my voice.”
She continued, “There was something more ‘Mommy’ about my voice and we had to fix it. I certainly didn’t intend that, and when you heard it, you couldn’t really place why it was different but it was. It was one of those hormonal things that happen, I guess.”
