I am very pro breastfeeding but the story about the woman taking her infant to her college exam does not seem like a breastfeeding issue to me. As a college student I can’t even imagine how frustrated I would be if one of my classmates brought a baby to an exam. It would make it hard for me to focus, therefore not do well on it. She “planned” on her baby sleeping through the final but babies are unpredictable. I really don’t think it’s that the college is against breastfeeding, they are just thinking of other students whose grades depend on their final exams.

this is not about breast feeding. They would have sent a bottle fed baby home too. It is an exam and only the students should be allowed. Otherwise you have the working mom with her 3 kids bring her kids too. Where would you draw the line? Some moms do extended breastfeeding so that means you have a toddler running around. In all fairness to the other students kids can’t come to the exam

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
