Surprise – Ron Livingston and Rosemarie DeWitt are first-time parents.

The actors are “thrilled to announce the arrival of their daughter, Gracie James Livingston,” whom they welcomed through adoption, their reps confirm to PEOPLE exclusively.

Born on Monday, April 29, Gracie has already brought her parents great joy. “The whole family is happy and well,” the reps tell PEOPLE.

The Office Space star, 45, and DeWitt, 41, who met while shooting the Fox show Standoff, married in November 2009 in San Francisco.

Livingston will next appear in this July’s supernatural film The Conjuring, as well as Boardwalk Empire this fall, while DeWitt, who was last seen in Promised Land, will next appear in Touchy Feely.

They are both character actors. Ron Livingston is best known for playing the lead character, Peter, in Office Space.

Congrats! Love them both, such great actors, wish that got more leading roles than they do. I totally didn’t know they were together or married…where have I been? Love the baby’s name and glad they waited a few weeks to announce her birth…time to cherish with their baby.

And she was also in Rachel Getting Married (great casting, she looked like her movie mom Debra Winger) and Ben Affleck’s wife in Company Men. Ron broke up with Carrie on a post in Sex in the City! Congrats

Ron was great in Band of Brothers and, of course, as Berger, the post-it dumping jerk, in Sex and the City.. Love him!

Interesting they went with Gracie, and not Grace with the nickname Gracie. Either way, great for them!

Good times, Colleen…

That episode was epic…loved it!

Congrats and best wishes on the new baby…

Congrats Ron & Rosemarie – she was also Midge in the first season of Mad Men. Gracie’s middle name is mostly likely for Rosemarie’s grandfather, James Braddock, a former boxer. His life story was a film with Russell Crowe.

Twelve years ago when my husband and I were deciding whether to have another child, the name I had chosen for a girl was Gracie Jaymes (hubby’s middle name is James). Even though we never did have another child, this is still one of my favorite names.

Congratulations :-)

My little girls name is Grace Jaymes :-) we call her Gracie. Sweet name for a sweet little baby :-)

Crazy how James (or Jaymes) is quickly going the way of so many other boys’ names and becoming a popular girls’ name! A couple of years ago, I would never have thought of it as a feminine name (because it is / was so masculine), but now, when I hear it, I usually think female first.
